Hera, protectress of women loves and supports all trans women
Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty holds trans women tight and gives them their beauty and tells them she loves them
Artemis, patron of young women, holds her bow to protect all trans women from anything that might hurt them
You are loved, you are welcome, the gods love you
How did yall figure out what path was right for you?
You don’t, you just start walking. You fuck around and find out. You don’t brand yourself, you learn from what and whom that gets thrown at you. You become interesting. You follow and adapt to every unexpected turn. You never get too comfortable.
You don’t choose a path, but you start moving. You listen to your gut and start doing - the path will lay itself out.
Just start walking is the best advice I've ever seen. If you wait until you find the perfect path, you may never take that first step. You will never go anywhere, let alone reach that final destination you have in your head.
You can't really plan the twists and turns on your journey, if you try you're likely to find yourself lost. But if you walk and wander and go where your feet take you, then you will end up right where you are meant to.
And then you can set out on a new path.

October 2020 Tarot Challenge
Hello everyone, this challenge was made with the 2020 October calendar in mind but you could apply this to any month. Allow this challenge to guide you through your October up to the Samhain full moon.
What will I get out of this challenge?
What can I expect from this month?
What should my efforts be focused on?
How can I prepare myself for the upcoming week?
What is my current mental state?
What is my current physical state?
What is my current spiritual state?
What is the interaction between my mind, body, and spirit?
How can I reap the benefits of my efforts?
How can I rest my spirit and find peace?
How can I take on this week with an open mind and spirit?
What in my life is draining my energy?
How can I energize my mind, body, and spirit to take on the day?
What am I missing in my life?
How can I prepare for a new start?
What goals are most important to me?
What is the first step to pursuing my goals?
What is the root of my suffering?
How can I let go of pain?
What am I holding onto?
What relationships should I focus on?
What is holding me back?
How can I push past my doubts and keep moving forward?
What can I expect from the sun in Scorpio?
How can I honor my ancestors?
What are my spirit guides trying to tell me?
How can I heal my wounds from this month?
How can I connect with my higher self?
What do I need to do to prepare for the full moon?
What did I accomplish this month?
What do my ancestors want to communicate to me on this day when the veil is most thin?
I think the fast paced society we live in currently has brainwashed me into thinking i can upgrade myself and my life just as fast as when i restart my computer or phone. I have forgotten the natural cycles of life… how the moon takes her time to be full or how the crops take their time to grow their fruits.
If there is one thing I could really convince younger/newer witches of it would be that it's okay to have secrets. I know that that seems really antithetical to witchblr culture, but it is true. You don't have to show everyone everything. You don't have share every gift that you've been given. You don't have to answer every question you have been asked. It can be fun to teach and to share, to show your techniques, spaces, your hard-earned work to others. But sometimes things are given to you to just be yours, and it is okay to keep those things to yourself. I understand the urge to want to help, to teach, to heal, but sometimes people with good hearts give too much of themselves away. There's actually quite a thrill in keeping certain things sacred and secret. Indulge yourself in a little obfuscation.
I think that the reason tumblr is against the secret keeping mentality is because writers like silver ravenspit were encouraging young people to lie and hide things from their parents, and keep their craft a secret as a method of indoctrination.
That being said, there is a difference in keeping your craft private and a very rich practitioner saying you should lie and hide what they're teaching you, because that can lead to a lot of abuse.
Not only are secrets good, they can also be extremely useful in your practice.
@upthewitchypunx you left the best parts in the tags lol
@creature-witch as someone who grew up in abusive household where I had to keep the fact I was eating FOOD to stay alive a secret, I can see why some young people would NEED to keep their practice and beliefs a secret. That being said, Sliver RamenWool is a terrible author. lol
Fortune favors those that read the tags...
Yeah, when I give examples to people I always change large sections as to how I actually do them. Like I give a working example, but it's always a slightly alternate take at minimum
(The nerd in me thinks of them as the shield prefix codes in Trek)
This. All of it.
Never give up everything you know or share everything you can do. Secrets are healthy; you are allowed to keep things to yourself, so long as it’s by your own choice and not someone else’s. (Assuming we’re talking about your craft in general, and not initiatory mysteries or proprietary information.)
Sharing is important for learning and growth. Constructive criticism helps us mend our mistakes. Feedback helps us improve our technique. But that doesn’t mean you have to share everything.
Always keep a little something in your back pocket. Just in case someone throws something nasty at you, thinking you can’t counter it. Just in case someone tries to use your own work against you. Save something for a rainy day. Or an emergency.
I had someone ask me once, “Are you worried that since you’ve published all your spells in your books, somebody might use one of them against you?”
And I answered, “Who said I published all of them?”
