Billy shook his head and his hands back and forth a little as he continued to back up. “Um, that’s quite alright. I can get a refresher course. I mean not that its not appreciated but really I’m good.” Being advanced upon didn’t exactly do wonders for his state of calm.
He murmured quietly and quickly a mantra “makeabarriermakeabarriermakeabarrier.” A soft blue light sprang into existance. A bubble of protection around him to keep any projectiles, weapons . . people . . out. “Can we talk about this?”
Silver pulled out two blasters and fired a two shots at the barrier...Testing just how strong it was. “You want to talk this out?” Silver asked with a snort and a roll of her eyes.
“Is an enemy going to allow you to ‘talk things out’ in the middle of a fight?” The woman asked te other with a raised eyebrow, one of her lips quirking up. “Cause if they are, feel free to give me their name so that way I can research just how braindead they are.”
mysteriomanifesto:
Beck loudly scoffs, his lip curling upwards into a sneer. “Murdock’s biggest downfall is his arrogance. He pretends that this city owes him a debt for the so-called ‘service’ that he provides, when the contrary’s true.” There’s a malevolence within Sable’s smirk that elicits a reflection of the gesture, Quentin’s brow raising slightly in mutual amusement. Leaning back in his seat as he sets his beverage down, the tip of the brunet’s tongue lightly drags over his upper lip in contemplation. “Considering the multitude of resources I have access to, money is most definitely not an obstacle. Failing that, is there anything else that could be of interest?”
Silver hummed as she considered her words. She’s had to face quite a few people who have tried to do a loop hole or two when she was in these scenarios. “I also want a promise for at least a one time use favor that you’ll owe me.” Silver said it specifically. “I ask you once for a favor, and you do it. Simple as that. On top of hte money, of course.” Silver hummed as she crossed her arms. “We have a deal?”
avengerwitharrows:
“Probably not, but it’s worked out surprisingly well thus far.”
“Well, I guess as long as people underestimate you it works out in your favor...Although might I suggest not blurting it out?”
atrxvido:
“If I backed off of everyone who threatened me, this city would’ve fallen long ago. At least Castle had ideals. However skewed they were. You can get your precious money doing something else, somewhere else. You’re not profiting from our pain.”
Silver growled as she stared at the hooded figure. Sometimes, she regretted helping the heroes out. Damn her conscious when things got truly important. “You’re right. You don’t even know if my target is one of your goody goody two shoes friends or an enemy.” Silver snorted with a roll of her eyes.
madameofmasquerade:
“Ah yes, I’ll clearly just sit around and wait for another forty-eight hours. Oh wait, I actually have clients and a business to run,” Whitney Frost gave a covered smile as she tilts her head,”What’s a pretty face like yours doing in my neck of the woods, Silver?”
Silver snorted and rolled her eyes. “You could always feel free to get into contact with my phone and, I don’t know, leave a message?” Silver pointed out with a roll of her eyes. “Just got done with a contract.” Silver said bluntly with a shrug of her shoulders.
atrxvido:
He grabbed her arm, seeking to pull her back. “No, you don’t. It’s not happening. Whatever they’ve done, I don’t have the patience to handle a second Frank Castle style incident. It’s all just business for you, perhaps, but this is my city, not a mercenary trading ground.”
Silver’s eyes narrowed dangerously as she looked down at the hand that was grabbing her arm tightly. “Remove your hand, Devil, or this will get ugly.” Silver warned through clenched teeth before trying to yank it free. “And if I backed off of every city because someone otld me it was ‘their’ city, do you think I would get paid?” Silver asked with a snort.
mysteriomanifesto:
Beck had her attention and while it wasn’t particularly difficult to hide his amusement, the trace of an impish smirk plays on his lips - considering the increasing number of hardened individuals in which he was dealing with recently, the presence of the blonde’s weapon doesn’t faze him, opting to overlook it. “The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.” The engineer takes a prolonged sip of his coffee with the utterance of the vigilante, the name as heavy as lead. “I have some pre-existing, shall we say, grievances with him and I’m looking to make his life a little more difficult.”
The timing was almost too perfect. “Sadly, he threatened earlier today what would happen if I decided to do anything on his home turf.” Silver said with a sigh, shaking her head...Before a small smirk came across plump lips. “And by sadly...I mean sadly for him. Of course, I don’t exactly offer my services for free...What do I get out of this arrangement?” Silver asked with a raised eyebrow as she looked at the man.
avengerwitharrows:
“I can normally tell how intelligent someone is by how stupid they think I am.”
“Are you sure that’s the best way to go about that?”
mysticmutantwiccan:
“Probably because the world keeps falling apart and there is something bad happening every five minutes?” Okay a small exaggeration but not really. There seemed to be a constant flow of info with so many negative things happening in the world. Was it any wonder that focus might be a problem for some.
“But um, you are right that I should have better focus on where I am going. I, um, don’t even know where I am right now.” Billy was trying really really hard not to panic.
“You are in my makeshift office for Sable Internationals.” The former princess of Symkaria said with a shake of her head. “And while that is true, it is important for you to hone these powers of yours. And I will assist you.” In true Silver way, she wasn’t even really asking him if he wanted her help. More forcing it upon him.
“You need to practice your power while you’re in combat. Your enemies likely won’t give you time and stop fighting you to do it.” She explained as she stood up from her desk, walking around it.
atrxvido:
“I don’t care, Silver. If you thought the press stories caused some kind of power vacuum, you thought wrong. Hell’s Kitchen is my patch. If I find you screwing with it, we’re going to have to have more than words.”
Silver narrowed her eyes at the red costumed man’s words. “And if I have business in this ‘Hell’s Kitchen’, pardon my language, but I won’t give a shit.” Silver didn’t understand why these American’s came up with the silliest names to call these locations. “I might respect you, but if anyone gets in my way I will not pull my punches.” Silver warned with narrowed eyes. She had a target, she didn’t have time to play around with this little ‘Daredevil’. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to find the target that you oh-so-conviently caused me to lose.” She huffed, not taking any heed to his warning.
hridhammar:
“Those books were not written with my daughter in mind.”
“How old is your daughter?”
mysteriomanifesto:
“Well, if you’re a fan of letting opportunities slide—” Quentin flashes the woman a lopsided grin as the edge of his finger taps against the rim of his cup, the developer’s chin dipping a fraction as his steely gaze analytically trails over her. “…I can wait.”
That definitely caught Silver’s attention. The neutral woman stared at the other man for a moment just to make sure there wasn’t a hint of this not being worth her time before finally lowering the blaster that she was checking out and focusing on the man. “What is this opportunity that you speak of?” She asked, her Symkarian accent slipping out a little bit.

Billy immediately took a step back, both hands coming up palms flat out to show he didn’t carry a weapon. Okay he didn’t really need to carry a weapon but not the point that he wanted her to realize at this particular moment. “Sorry! Totally accident I meant to land at home but I was panicking and didn’t visualize clearly.”
Not like he could hide the fact he teleported in there. His abilities worked differently than other people.
The old Silver would have killed the other right then and there. In her eyes, the fact that the other was still having a chance to plead his case instead of feeling the wrath of her bullets should say something. “Why am I not surprised that focus is something most of you younger heroes lack?” The mercenary said with a deep sigh.
“Can you see that I’m a little bit busy at the moment?” Silver asked with a huff. “Can’t whatever it is wait a day or two?”
