Disgusting - that's the first word that came to my mind after I finished Coin Locker Babies by Ryu Murakami.

Yes, it was extremely ghoulish, but it's not just ghoulish. When the shock wore off and my mind calmed down, many thoughts came to me. And I started to realize what it really was.

The story started peacefully, and at first I thought it was an ordinary coming-of-age story, something like Dandelion Wine. But it's not. And I quickly understood that I was mistaken. Brutal, detailed descriptions - they literally fall into your head. I was shocked, but I was also hooked. You really can't stop reading until the end.

So, was it just disgusting descriptions? No. It's a complex story with gray morality.

Does a bad background give a permission to crime? Can people go through trauma? What does society do with broken souls? The writer puts these questions - and many more - into his book. But he gives only questions, not answers. The answer, you have to find for yourself.

Let's talk about THAT scene.

Today I watched Stray Kids' new music video for "This & That". Before it dropped, they released a teaser that looked super unusual - members' faces everywhere, like something from a Tim Burton movie: weird, dreamy, slightly creepy. I was so curious how the full clip would turn out.

But the actual video gave me completely different vibes. It's way more dynamic and colorful than I expected. And the framing? Absolutely gorgeous. One frame is perfectly symmetrical, the next is totally asymmetrical, and they use some really creative angles. I love when directors play with perspectives like that.

Also - can we talk about I.N? He literally looks majestic in this video. Like, how is that even possible?

And Han's part? Stuck in my head. That rhythm is so catchy, I keep replaying it.
