Prompt: Here’s an imagine idea:What if you met Kusho before you met Scar and became Kusho’s mate instead?
The Outlands in Summer, I am lying asleep next to Kusho, who is, despite what the fans say, not selfish at all, in fact, he’s actually super sweet to me.
Kusho smiles, as he hears me purr happily beside him as I sleep, he snuggles up next to me and goes to sleep.
It was late at night when we went to sleep, so we wake up late the next morning.
Kusho licks me lovingly to wake me up, I yawn cutely and smile as I look at him.
“Good morning, Destiny, did you sleep well?”
“Good morning, Kusho, I slept well, did you?”
“Yes, as your happy purrs lulled me into a peaceful sleep last night, hey do you want to have cubs with me?”
“Yes I do, Kusho, but don’t get rid of me if it’s a girl, please, love us both.”
“I’m not really like that, Destiny, that’s how those STUPID fans portray me, you’ve seen how sweet I really am.”
“Yes, I know you’re actually sweet when we’re alone, Kusho, but my old Pride kicked me out for loving you before I could learn to hunt.”
“I will teach you how to hunt, my dear, come with me.”
I follow Kusho out to a grassy area where there are some antelope grazing on the grass, he pushes me low to the ground gently…
“Now don’t make a sound and stay low, okay?”
I nod quietly, he then directs me on how to pounce on the prey.
“Pounce carefully, or you’ll scare the herd off, got it?”
I nod to show Kusho that I understand his words, he smiles.
“Okay, you’re up, go catch the Outlanders some delicious dinner, dear!”
I follow Kusho’s instructions and easily kill 10 of the herd of antelope, smiling proudly on me, Kusho helps me bring the antelope back to the Outlands to feed our pride, the other lions and lionesses are impressed and happily welcome me as their own.
Leading me off with him after we eat our meal, Kusho begins to court me so we can mate civilly, I welcome his advances warmly, then court him in answer, we then mate and conceive our first cub.
It’s an uneventful and healthy pregnancy, I give birth to twins, a boy we name Kito and a girl we name Luzi, true to his words, Kusho lets me stay and dotes on me and Luzi, as well as Kito, who is, of course, a mommy’s boy, but Luzi is Kusho’s little girl.
The years pass and our cubs grow up, so Kusho and I have more cubs so he has heirs to his pride, 2 more girls, Inja and Shada and another boy, Kusho II.
In this AU Imagine, Kusho and I never age, so he won’t die of being old, illnesses are also rare in our pride, so illness won’t beset us either, guess this AU Imagine makes us immortal, then.
However, something goes wrong on a hunt, Kito sacrifices himself to save Luzi from a stampede, but Kusho doesn’t exile her or harm her, he accepts that Kito was saving her life by giving up his life.
So, our first son is dead, making Kusho II his father’s new heir as the leader of the Outlands, my heir is our first daughter, Luzi, she adores her parents, but cries for her dead big brother at times, but I team with Kusho, Inja, Shada and Kusho II to comfort Luzi when she cries, she appreciates that we all care for her.
