“Ah! So you’ve got the high expectations of dance then.”

“Not really, because I think they just know I’m not like my parents in that way.”

It took a moment for his words to break through her focus, but she blinked and looked up when it did.  “I’m sorry,” she sighed, “does it bother you?” Glancing down at the picture and then back up, she put her pencil down.  Social rules didn’t always make an impression on her, but she hated making people uncomfortable.

“N-no. It just takes some getting use to is all. Not really the modeling type I suppose.” In fact that was more along the lines of his parents. They would do photoshoots together back in the day for their next big performance, and young Simon would just be sat in the back going unnoticed for hours. Hardly anyone would know there was a kid on set. “Are you doing this for a project?”

“I’m drawing you,” she replied, her voice a little absent-minded as her hand kept moving.  The lines flowed together as she tried to catch his likeness before he moved on her.  “You’ve got an intriguing face.”

He was fully confused on what could be fasinating about himself. Whenever someone took an interest in him it was normally to make fun of his features. “I-I don’t--Thank you.” Feeling uneasy being on the otherside of artisic wonders. For the most part he was the one watching others and writing little stories about them in his notebook. Pooring out what their lives could have been in hise mind.

Marie smiled softly with a small giggle escaping her lips. “If you want to feel like it rained you could dunk your head under water.” Marie offered with a shrug of her shoulders. “This is LA so you know there isn’t a lot of that.” 

Simon plugged his nose and then dipped himself into the water. Emerging after a second to reveal that he had done what she’d said. Not quite getting the full effect of rain. “Not exactly the same, but thank you. They said it would be good for me to get sunshine. Sometimes just miss the old smell.”
