Trying out these pearl izumi trail shoes. Wasn't impressed at all with their first foray into shoes but this new revamped line is really nice. I think this trail shoe (given to me by frontrunners nanaimo) is called the N1 and they a fantastic fit. Super comfortable, quality and well thought out, read - fairly simple. No big cutouts, a fairly "square" shoe, which I really like. I will say my guess is this shoe was designed by a runner in Colorado or somewhere else dry as the tread isn't great inthe wet and they get soaked easily. All in all, impressed and definitely going to seek out the road version. I could see racing long course in these (the rosd version). An excellent shoe. Trying out a pair of Brooks Pure for today's run. Ran 30mins in them the other day upin nanaimo (thanks again for the shoes fellas) and they seemed pretty good, a bit of a rocker in them, im curious how they do today and tomorrow with s little bit of pace.
