And you get to that point where your heart is cold towards the person who used to make every atom in your body go crazy. Isn’t that tragic? Heartbreaking? Shameful? It’s so many things and all he chose to see was all of the things you couldn’t be. And so you get up one morning and you go through the day to day motions and then you lay down to sleep. And you realize you didn’t even utter his name under your breath like you did when your heart aches for him. Then he calls you one night at 3 a.m. When he’s had one too many beers with his friends at college and you look at the screen and you don’t feel love, you feel angry. And you let the phone go to voicemail and go back to sleep. And you don’t feel alone anymore in your bed that’s way to big for just one tiny person.
