A lot of things broke my heart but fixed my vision
A part of being an adult is living with regret and not allowing it to consume you. The older you get, the more mistakes you’ve made, opportunities you’ve missed, people you’ve disappointed. And every day you have to remind yourself to be kind and forgiving of yourself. You accept and love the you from the past and understand that it’s all a part of the process. Then you move on and live your best life, knowing now as old as you feel today, you’ll never be this young again.
“If you believe in a God who controls the big things, you have to believe in a God who controls the little things.”
— Elisabeth Elliot
late night thoughts: Just because things aren’t good right now doesn’t mean He isn’t still good. You see, we build this false perception that God is supposed to take away the pain and the sorrow. If He loves us so much, why does He let us suffer? But in reality, He told us since the beginning that life isn’t going to be easy. People fail us. Trust is broken and, eventually, we fail ourselves. But despite the anxiety, He is still good. Remember that.
#NotesToSelf
When your life is hidden in Christ, nothing is ever as bad as it seems. Jesus called us to be of good cheer in the midst of trouble because He’s already prepared a way out. There’s no such thing as hopelessness unless you talk yourself out of truth.

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. Proverbs 16:9, NLT — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/35qAiun
nugget of wisdom: This year, don’t focus on who you want to be. Focus on who God is calling you to be. The simple act of obedience and leaning into God’s Word is enough to start a chain reaction. The more we reject self-complacency, the more we accept holiness. Leading others towards Christ sarts with living out biblical disciplines. Remember that.
Surrender.
The change I want to see, must first begin in me. I surrender; so Your world can be changed.
So Powerful
You were created on purpose for a purpose. Don’t lose heart, don’t lose focus. Every single page of the Bible is filled with truth and the promises of God. I encourage you today: open the word, and discover His promises for you. Because He is with you and for you in every circumstance!- Christine Caine
