Maisie pranced into the coffee shop, quickly ordering two caramel lattes and taking a seat by the door with Clara. “I’m slightly broke today, so lattes are all I’ve got the money for,” she said, sheepishly.

“I’ve got some money, if you want to borrow any.” Clara stated, putting her hand into her pocket and pulling out two ten pound notes, “I don’t think it’s much, but you can have it if you want.”

"No, no, you keep it, you've obviously had a rough enough day," Maisie replied, pushing the money back to her as their lattes arrived at their table. "You need all the help you can get.

“Oh, um, hm. Yes. Am I still in London? I’m trying to find a coffee shop and I’m… lost..” Maisie looked around herself for a bit before giving a small smile at Clara.

"Just outside of it, actually." Clara replies, with a smile. She holds her arms out a little and gestures about the small bookshop, "Well, this isn't the Coffee Shop, but Bennie's is just up the road. I'm about to go for my lunch." For a moment, her mind drifts, curious of as to how this doesn't quite know where she is. It's odd, yes; but Clara's been in such a situation a few times herself.

"Ah. At least I got close. I'm no good at directions." Maisie shrugged and tilted her head at Clara. "Do you mind if I tag along with ya? I'll pay my own way."

Maisie smiled with earnest. “Come along then.” She got up and bounded across the street at a crosswalk, walking down the sidewalk on the other side, the street lined with shops. She glanced back to make sure Clara was following her. “You like Starbucks?” she asked.

Clara followed her, walking quickly and making sure she didn’t lose sight of her. She almost did lose her at one point, but she managed to relocate her a few moments later, “Yeah. Starbucks is nice.” She replied, smiling slightly.

“Yes, please.” She responded, her small smile growing a bit more. It would be wise to plan what she’d do from now, but first things first; she needed to cheer up. A cup of tea and perhaps even a soufflé would be the perfect things to do just that.
