Slightly sadder one, I wanted to do a more illustration-style of some of the Zeehondencentrum seals that have left us.

First up is Mochi, who galumphed over the rainbow bridge on May 31st. He was likely extremely premature, based on his full lanugo coat, and when staff arrived that morning, he had already deteriorated past the point of saving and was humanely euthanized. While sad, he most definitely wouldn't have survived in the wild, and he had care and food and shelter for the remainder of his tragically short life.

I have Muisje, Moffel, and Jiyuu planned next.

I can't seem to find that I ever posted this one, how could I not post Dropje! I drew this back in January and she has since been successfully released! I miss her every day but I hope she's having a good life in the sea <3

Hey guys, if you're a fan of pinnipeds you've probably heard about Neil the Seal. Well, that's an understatement, he's one of the most famous seals around right now!

But, he's been getting too much attention lately, tourists are flocking to him to the point where authorities are considering euthanizing him if he becomes a danger.

I'd like it if you'd sign this petition to get Tasmania local government where he lives to instate a non-lethal management plan to ensure his safety:

She is a gray seal at Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen, and she's had it rough, so I'm really rooting for her!
