Join.me - a quick screen sharing app
Posted from: CO, USAOne of the biggest pains of helping people with remotely fixing their computers is setting up the screen sharing software. It's generally a very small and quick fix that you need to apply but getting to their screen is the real tough task for you, specially if the other person is not tech savvy.
In steps Join.Me the service. Hit the website and without any registration you can just click the link that says share. The software is available on Macs, Windows and for a few mobiles. A very small download later, you just need to start the software and it'll open and give you a small link to share with others. If you want, you can just give them the number at the end of the link and they can go to the join.me website and put that number in the view someone else's screen part. That's it! You're sharing you screen!
There are many features, free or paid. If you want to do a live screen vlog, a maximum of 250 people can join in to see you screen. You can also hand over mouse control to anyone just by clicking the mouse button on the software.
There is also chat and even a conferencing feature free of cost with the software, something that I've seen for the first time in such a software.
A host of features, easy setup and their makers being LogMeIn, a well known screen sharing service provider makes join.me a great service to use.
Enjoy! :)
Just another evening in Boulder
Boxify, a very cool new service!
Just found out today about boxify.me
It's a pretty good idea where you have an online 'box' that you can share with other friends from where they can download and upload files for you. It's similar to dropbox/SugarSync/Other various cloud sharing tools but with a slight difference. Like I mentioned, your friends can upload files to it. That is indeed a neat file sharing feature.
What else is cool about it?
Unlimited Storage for your files, no signup and a clean interface.
What's bad?
No support (the developer is just dev-ing on Ruby on Rails and throwing things in the market without a care for supporting them), no way to delete the files uploaded, no security (anyone with the URL can upload/download from it) and no intent from the dev to provide cross-platform apps and other services (though it's a browser-only app, making it just about usable everywhere)
Here's the link for the same - http://www.boxify.me
Have fun!

It seems Nipun Khanna is studying hard nowadays! Wish him luck! :)
Summer time
Posted from: CO, USAIt's summer time and soon it'll be the meeting time of the minds behind NiKhCo... Some updates are underway and we're giving space to some new ideas. But the highlight of it all is that both the NiKh brothers will soon be together. Time for some innovation people! :)

This is the first post on Posterous and possibly the first post of NiKhCo's blog... We hope this works because it's an indicator of awesome things which are going to come later!
