When I think of K-beauty the first thing that comes to mind is lip tints and cushions. I have lip tints for days, so I am very pleased to be testing out my first cushion. I will be unboxing and reviewing Troiareuke’s Donation Cushion, which also happens to be in collaboration with Edward Avila. Edward is one of my favorite YouTube personalities so I was more than eager to get my hands on this product. Now if you are familiar with Troiareuke you already know that this company is the pioneer of skincare make up. In fact this cushion is packed with soothing ingredients like centella asiatica extract, tea tree extract, and calendula extract. I got Cushion A+ which is best suited for acne prone skin. The cushion claims to leave the skin glowy with an airbrushed finish that is supposed to last the whole day.
Packaging
I ordered my cushion from Amazon, unfortunately the box that it came in was damaged. Inside was a little note from Edward, the cushion compact and 13g of product. The compact is beyond beautiful. The cushion is mirrored on the outside and has the Aquarius constellation to represent Edward’s horoscope sign. The package is mostly plastic but durable and perfectly aesthetic.
Review
Pros: Edward Avila (LOL), beautiful packaging, really liked the finish this cushion left on my skin
Cons: Limited shade options, not very long lasting
First Impression
After 4 Hours
Final Thoughts
I would first like to make clear that I am completely bias when it comes to Edward Avila, so I already love this product. Unfortunately that does not mean this cushion did not have its issues. For one as usual shade options are very limited. There is only shade 21 and 23, I am closer to 23 but it is very light on me. I also noticed the cushion is not very long wearing, I needed to reapply after 4 hours of use. Aside from the negatives I just mentioned this cushion has great coverage. The finish is light weight and buildable, and makes the skin look flawless. All in all I do not regret making this purchase. It was for a good cause and the packaging is beautiful.
Have you tried any cushions? What did you think? Please comment below, I’d love to hear from you.
