I'm looking to either create my own save file or dl another creator's bc the one I was using and so in love with (fleuralia's) is no longer being updated, which I am a bit bummed about, but I totally get that they're having issues with their game, which absolutely sucks (so sorry, Fleuralia, if you happen to read this!). Probably gonna create my own, tho. Any tips/tricks or advice?

Hey, simblr!

So, I know by now most of you have probably gotten attacked by that anon / spammer. And by now you all know that blocking, reporting, or even turning off anon isn't going to work. It seems the only option is to turn off asks entirely. But I'm not willing to lay down that easy. Asks are part of what makes simblr a community, and I'm not going to let an idiotic piece of shit take that away from us.

So what do we do? I think we start collecting evidence. Any screenshots you have, any posts about it you've made, collect them. Get proof of what's happening. The earlier ones you have, the better. And then we have to make sure @staff notices. The fact that one of the largest communities on tumblr is getting harassed in this manner is not acceptable. Hell, even if it was one person on tumblr, it's not acceptable.

Send support requests. Send tumblr emails. Tag @staff in posts with screenshots of what's going on. (though they get tagged so often I doubt that one will work well.) Will it work?? I have no idea. Can @staff even do anything about it, since this person is clearly using 10-minute email generators to make burners? I don't know. But maybe we can convince them that this is an actual problem. And here's some solutions for @staff:

Introduce an ask setting like the one for DMs that is "only from blogs I follow"

Crack down on these endless spam accounts being made from the same computer. (I can't guarantee that it's even the same IP address if they're using a VPN)

You know what? While your at it, crack down on bot/spam account in general!! The pornbots are still a rampant problem.

Do something like Discord has, where it's possible to make it so that only people who have 2-factor authentication on can send you an ask/DM.

globetrotter gameplay part one .

river traveled over to hanamigawa koen bar to go fishing! they found a box that contained a fire opal (worth a whopping §84), and then they caught a little minnow. they’re debating on whether they should sell it for a bit of cash, use it as bait, or try to see if they can cook it. they also met kiyoshi ito and respectfully introduced themselves, which earned them a new personality trait: proper! wow, there’s so much happening for our little globetrotter already.

meet my globetrotter challenge sim, river thorne! they are non-binary and love exploring, so i thought this would be the perfect challenge to try out with them. their traits are (base game) active, adventurous, (chingyu’s custom traits) daredevil, cute, and determined. massive thank you to @moonfi for creating this challenge! i can’t wait to bring you guys along on river’s journey. if you want to check it out for yourself, here’s the link. reshade preset used is by fantayzia (utopiaskies)! i cannot express in words how in love i am with this preset. i love the vibrancy of the colors, and it looks stunning!

so i’m downloading some posepacks that involve pets, but the problem i’m having is that pets are not playable (the selectable pets mod has been broken for a long time, and i’m not a big fan of tmex’s ‘all cheats’ mod as it's confusing) and therefore if i wanna toggle through the poses individually, i can’t pose the pet like i can pose the owner. does anyone know a workaround for this besides resetting them every time? also, hello! long time no see. uni has me by the metaphorical balls, so i haven’t been as active as i want to be. but i may be continuing with my globetrotter challenge!

so ... regarding the new policy update , i’m a tad confused because i’m aware that some creators did patreon exclusive cc / mods , which is understandable , but with the update , does that mean that that’s no longer going to be allowed ??

My Stance on Perma-paywalls, Early Access, and EA’s “nEw PoLiCy”

I really debated even posting about this or not, but I’m seeing so much hate and vitriol in this community targeted against creators that have played by the rules for years and have treated their followers/the community with respect, that I feel I need to say “Please stop the hate”. This post feels super long, but I hope that it helps clarify the situation and my stances thoroughly and effectively.

TL;DR: There’s no new policy and early access is not retired. Your “evidence” isn’t actually evidence of what you’re claiming. Stop treating early access creators like greedy criminals for no other reason than they’re still practicing early access.

about ea’s new policy regarding early access + a message to mod / cc / pose creators ...

my heart truly goes out to those who followed ea’s rules prior to this , as so many of my most favorite pose , cc , and mod creators are now leaving the community and deciding not to produce anymore content due to the vague wording in the policy update on mods and cc . i understand that for almost all of you guys , this is your only ( or one of your only ) source of income that you need to keep a roof over your heads .

it’s the perma-paywallers that thought it okay to keep all ( not most or some , all ) of their stuff locked and didn’t follow tos who screwed you guys and your loyal subscribers over . i understand completely why some creators did the patreon exclusive payments for certain things like subscribers and released some content for free so those who weren’t able to pay would at least have some of their goods , i didn’t mind that at all . if i saw that something was patreon exclusive , sure , i was a tad bummed , but i completely understood and scoured the patreon for free or already-released stuff to download !

i apologize on behalf of those creators who followed the rules . you did not deserve to get screwed over like this . if i was able to , i would sub to your patreons , ko-fis , whatever your source of income at this time is to help you out , but i’m in school right now and am not currently employed ( meaning i have no steady source of income myself to be able to pay monthly ) , so i’m not able to , which is unfortunate because all of you produce such amazing cc / mods .

some of my favorite cc , mod , and pose creators will be tagged under the cut so they see this message , and whatever their decision is regarding mods / custom content , whether they choose to continue or not , just know that i will completely understand !! i highly encourage anyone in the sims 4 tags to check them out because their works are phenomenal , and they deserve so much love !!
