I'm moving to a new city this week. I have to pack down my pc and desk into new office. Hopefully I'll still want to play and continue when everything is up and running again.
Although I need to get organized at my new place. Busy week ahead.
There's too much to do and feeling overwhelmed, but also excited! ☀️
The town so far. Still need to build a few buildings, but almost done.
I tried to make a tilt-shift effect and failed. Does anyone know an easy way to add tilt-shift focus on photos?
The town needed a farm. I added a few fields around the property. I like how it turned out.
I had an idea of an unfinished house with storage containers and scaffolding. This is how it turned out. Plumbing arrived in the back of the truck. Doors and windows delivered.
It adds to the storytelling aspect of the town, but it isn't particularly nice to look at.
I was thinking it could be fun to play on this lot as a rags to riches challenge and live in the storage container.
Floorplan of the manor house below. It features secret library entrance, witchy attic and vampire basement.
The largest manor in town is at the end of High Street. Isolated and private with high hedges and fence.
It is the most expensive home. It has a secret basement with prison cells and room for a coffin bed.
I made apartments. 3 units and 1 abandonded that is off limits and overgrown with ivy.
The train goes through town and then into a tunnel, beneath the mountain, onwards to New Downtown.

All the houses share similar exterior with stone walls, chimneys, windows and doors.

I wanted the tower to be one of the tallest structures in the neighborhood. This placed a 2 floor limit on the sorrounding houses.
I wanted to make a main neighborhood for New Downtown. I got a bit carried away and it's honestly turning out nicely. Almost halfway done with 10 lots fully furnished.
A quiet, idyllic town and commercial district connected to the larger Simcity area by train and highway.

Don't judge me. I redid downtown for the third time because wasn't happy with how it was going. This time I have a plan. Sorta.
My plan is to have an upper richer area with townhouses, expensive stores, exclusive restaurants and penthouses for the techs and socialites. And a lower poorer area with grungy shops, bars and cheap apartments for the gearheads, bohemians and jocks.
The 2 areas are separated by a green central park between them. One corner of downtown is going to be more industrial. Another is quiet residential townhouses.
