As I get older, something I often find myself thinking about is how much more appealing the early low-level parts of fantasy games are. In a lot of these titles, there's always some apocalyptic big bad out there somewhere that's trying to take over or destroy the world, all standard fare for that kind of story. But for whatever reason, the high-stakes endgame things just don't really connect with me all that much. But the stuff leading up to it? The smaller-scale, local problems your character might encounter? That's always been far more engaging to me. The restless spirit of a fallen warrior who needs to be defeated lest he bring death to his former community. A precious keepsake needing to be returned to a grieving widow after it was stolen by bandits. Helping some struggling local shopkeeper by helping to bring supplies. Things like that, and I just can't explain why, will always be the things I enjoy more than whatever some dark lord is cooking up somewhere 🤔

An illusion! What are you hiding?
I've been very sick for the last two weeks, but I'm recovering... slowly. It's so frustrating to not be able to draw because of some frigging flu. I've been sketching to get back into my routine, but it always takes some time to get into the flow after a longer break.
At least I've been able to play legion remix a bit. I love Suramar.💜

I'm enjoying Valeera as a delve partner because she and my main are on the opposite ends of the rogue spectrum
