the nightingale . it was like home to leona . most , if not all of her time was spent here . even if it had it’s dirty little secrets that could ruin the reputation of the beloved theater , she still loved it . the theater was like her escape , and it reminded her a lot of childhood , back when things were more simple . this weekend , she was preparing for a big show . it was suppoused to help her out of the hole she had found herself in after the war had , and she had been promoting it for weeks now .
but when the devil came knocking at the door , she knew something was up . dismissing herself from the stage , she had left the performers to continue on their own . she didn’t need any prying ears . his words brought out a deep sigh . it was disappointing , but she was in no position to say no . “ there will be a lot of disappointed people , but fair enough . ” she couldn’t afford to loose out on that kind of money . “ i’ll be sure the theater is completely empty this weekend . though would it be too much to ask for a bit more notice next time ? ”
