superman 2025!lois lane x reader

look, lois lane will fight for what she wants and manage to be moral about it. as a teen lois didn't date much and even after getting a little wild at some concerts her dad didn't want her to attend, she's still less showy about romantic interests in others until now. she's patient and would take it slow if you'd want it that way.

someone else hitting on you? lois isn't discouraged but doesn't enjoy it either. like with her job, she will have to rise above the threat and expectations while making it seem like she's on top of things.

lois is assertive but doesn't come off too strong. if she can, she'd get to know you before asking you out. you need a helping hand? she's up to it. if you work on the Daily Planet, she'll find reasons to collaborate on an article with you.

sometimes, it takes her a minute sometimes to detect if you're being considerate to her. you hand her coffee and she's halfway through her cup before noticing that you've put as much sugar in it as she does. she's puzzled about it at some times. maybe you're just that nice of a person, and it's not that you like her back.

lois lane is shamelessly married to her work but refuses to put herself in situations where she was to choose between it and you. she's not a super planner, but she becomes more careful of deadlines, extra work she's taking on, how her schedule looks for the week, and makes sure there's time for her to spend with you, wether it's lounging around at home or going on an out-of-the-pocket date idea. lois' apartment used to be grab-and-go kind of snacks because the time she would spend cooking a 'proper meal' would be valueable time better used on work, but since she's been seeing you it's been less that way.

lois always gives credit when it's due, but it's a whole different level for you. she always finds a way to mention your accomplishments in a discussion, even if its informing clark that you know how to change a lightbulb in under five minutes. you helped by beta reading an arcticle of hers? she makes sure to mention it in the arcticle. she always seems to have a new way of thanking you and showing it to the world.

lois is a good listener, but better at asking the right questions. it's part of her job as a journalist to be that way. if you have a bad day, she catches onto it at the first signs. she tries to be gentle when she asks you about it, even though her tone's always a little brisk. she'll put down whatever she was doing, close the laptop, let the dishes she was washing be, and sit next to you if she can.

lois hates arguing with you. the guilt comes imediately after. there isn't anything worth losing you over (unless, of course, it's against her moral code, in which case she will feel righteous and awful).

lois can see different perspectives on a topic. she sees how there isn't one universal right and wrong, and will hear you out with a open mind if you have an opinion that differs from her. she'll give your argument that lois' pen-chewing habit is hugely destructive the benefit of a doubt, and even as you're saying it she finds ways to agree and disagree with it, what rebuttals and counter-claims and arguments she could make against it, and then ignores that and tells you she'll take it in consideration.

speaking of pens, lois always has a writing utensil on her to offer to you if you need to make a quick note of anything.

Bucky x Reader: Wakanda

Let's face the fact that Wakanda Bucky is a dandere. He's soft and shy, and basically blushes if you talk to him

You'd be: A) This Wakandan person, whether native or adopted by SoMeOne, or B) You're this CIA agent who gets to tag along with Ross during the Wakanda-opens-up-to-the-world thing

cough cough that's the best thing to do with an OC shipped with Bucky cough cough

You're anyhow amazed at the place. It's not every day you see friendly rhinos, a black panther, a genius princess, and female warriors with Starbucks cups

I also headcanon that Okoye almost quit the Dora unless T'Challa made a Starbucks in Wakanda

And Bucky is on the list of amazing things

The first time he saw you, he was pretty sure he was hallucinating or something, you looked...different than the Wakandans he met

Shuri is the first one to catch one, you guys

"Oh! Y/n! Meet Bucky! He's this brainwashed ass-"

"Shuri!" He gets really flustered

"Y/n Y/n/l, work at CIA"

He vaguely might recall you from the area

"Pleased to meet you...Y/n"

He doesn't realize it's a crush till Steve and Natasha and Sam visit, they immediately start teasing (Nat and Sam) laughing randomly (Sam), and giving advice (Steve and Nat)

He shows up with small excuses like 'Um...Zazu the guy from the coffee shop said you missed the coffee break, and I got it for you' and 'Shuri said you have to go back to the lab...you want me to come with you?'

It's adorable

But one night you accidentally hear him while having a nightmare, you were walking outside peacefully. And you heard him, of course, you're a good person. So you went over and woke him up.

And of course, Bucky is god damned embarrassed, and he doesn't sleep with his arm and shirt on.

But you're more worried about him than the arm and the shirt, you ask him a bunch of questions

"Are you okay Bucky?"

"Yeah...I'm fine, I'm fine"

As you start to leave the blurts out if you could stay with him. Which makes you stop in your tracks. He curses himself for talking and tries to apologize.

But you accept to his surprise. Why wouldn't you?

He doesn't have to wake up all night. Best sleep ever, and you KINDA cuddle.

It would be an awesome moment to just...say you both really like each other

It slips away

But! He does come to you when he has nightmares, and you come to him with problems. Ending up spending so much time together.

He can't ask you out, not now, he's afraid of scaring you away, you're his whole world.

But you LOVE him, not like him.

Bucky and you start getting closer, hugs get a bit more common, and he actualy kisses you one time, on the forehead, a surprise for both

Shuri literally is going to die, she's gonna resort to stalking

"JUST KISS ALREADY YOU TWO!"

"But Shuri, we do."

"WAHTTT-"

"Platonically Shuri."

Also, headcanon that Ramonda adopted Bucky

At this point, every single person in Wakanda ships you two, even the goats seem determined to push you two tougher, literally.

"Which was this ass?"

"Uh...I think it's Rumlow...?"

"You named a goat after a HYDRA agent??"

"Rumlow was the first jerk I thought of."

Finally, he asked you out. T'Challa threw a massive party in the palace, Bucky steered away and bumped into you on the top floor of the palace you looked...amazing, as you always did though

So, he manages to get himself together before talking to you

He's still shy, and he's probably gonna ramble for a bit before getting to the point.

"I really like you- Actually...I think...I love you..."

Your brain takes a minute to process it, and he's already apologizing

Missions are the death of him

If you go on a mission alone, he's already freaking out about:

If you go undercover, he's going to ruin it by coming over at random, kissing you, and walking off

Bucky Barnes x Reader || Cuddles

Everyone knows he loves cuddles. It's an universally accepted fact. He can't go a day without them.

You're working? He still wraps his arms around you from behind and rests his chin on your head.

You're reading? Still, no excuse, pulls your down on the sofa, arms around your waist. That makes reading almost impossible with him breathing down your neck, so you tell him off when he does that (jokingly).

In public? Nope, nothing, goose eggs, no PDA. He's a little bit shifty-eyed and has this permanent feeling of being watched — not in a good way, and he doesn't want to subject you to that and paint a target on your back.

And don't forget about the SHAME of anyone finding out that you're dating him

The EMBARRASSMENT

The TEASING from whatever friends and mutuals have.

The second you get home, however, he's all over you again.

Even though it kinda gets annoying sometimes

At first, he didn't ASK for hugs and cuddles and such, didn't touch you much.

But after a while, he discovered that he loves cuddles, because it calms him, and they're just so warm and fuzzy. It gives him a peaceful sort of feeling. Just loves warm hugs, just line that snowman from Frozen

Only if it's you though. Anyone Sam tries to hug him? He almost broke Sam's arm out didn't know what to do. Like wtf am I supposed to do about this weirdo putting his arms around me???

Doesn't matter if he's the little spoon or a big spoon, unless he's in the protective mood, then it's the big spoons.

Nightmares have decreased drastically since cuddles have been discovered. They're his cure (unlike the band called The Cure). Cuddles are the best way to vanquish the nightmares, as well as actually working with a physiologist and getting therapy, but it's a much quicker fix.

If you don't want to, though, he gets it. He's had a life of things being done to him that he didn't want to be done. He just turns over on one side and tries to figure his own way to stop the memories
