The best thing about that picture is not simply that there were so many other seats available, probably even more conventionally comfortable, for Jimin to rest and lay down, because we know his true comfort comes from the physical closeness with the guy he loves and takes care of, and who takes care of him back.
And it’s not even the fact that the position is intimate, and it’s something that clearly - but maybe silently - expresses, in an implicit way, that he needed him, that he specifically chose Jungkook’s body to lay on. Because it was mainly a matter of affection and safety. All in that small gesture from standing to laying on top of Jungkook. A quiet way of saying “I want you close to me”.
But it’s the fact that Jungkook is right where he wants to be. And yes, it’s very obvious as well, but it’s something some people struggle to understand. Jungkook was comfortable as well. He loves to be just he and Jimin, he loves their proximity, he feels regulated and safe when they touch, even if Jimin’s entire body weight - which is not that heavy, but it’s still a whole human body - is curled up on him like a kid. Dare I say especially when Jimin is that “invasive” in his personal space, because they have no such thing as “invasions” for each other. They seem to never get enough of the other, it’s like a constant grasping for air, a constant more more more, I want you want you want you and closer closer closer.
And that’s what people should focus on. The fact that Jimin chose Jungkook over couches, seats, soft leather chairs on their private jet, and that Jungkook welcomed him like he always does. It’s the metaphor of their bond and it’s what some people don’t want to accept. They love each other.
