4th July, 2006 - My Chemical Romance celebrated the day with a barbecue along with Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy, who was living in a sleeping bag with Bob Bryar at the time.

In an interview, Stump said: “I was living with Bob Bryer at the Oakwood apartments in Burbank while My Chem was recording this and FOB was recording Infinity on High. We had a barbecue on the 4th of July, bought as many inflatable cactuses as we could find, and watched Grizzly Man. When I moved out I left a hell of a mess. Sorry Bob. Neat freak. Memories. PS, Ray Toro is a shredder.”

lestat seeing his abuser everywhere he goes no matter how much time has passed is such an accurate portrayal of being a survivor of any type of abuse. no matter how much you try to bury it or run away from it, it will always find you when you’re least expecting it to resurface. you can still feel them when you’re alone, you remember how powerless you were, how much was taken from you. you remember the feeling of feeling dirty, trying to scrub away the filth they marked you with. until you face the intensity of your abuse, it will always have a hold on you. they will always have a hold on you.
