Chloe raised her eyebrow slightly at Dom, before quickly softening them “I heard about your dad, I’m sorry I couldn’t come to the funeral” Chloe’s voice got soft feeling bad. You’d think with her dad being mayor and friends with the family he would have at least made a few days to check in on them and go. But the subject was quickly changed back to height and it made her giggle. “Oh hush” Chloe shook her head before giving him another hug hearing that kinda news. “Oh my god thats amazing!”

Dom waved it off-- it was old news and he had moved on, or at least the brunette assured himself of such. It wasn’t like there was much of a funeral anyways, given how fast his mother powered through the ceremony to put the man in the ground. 

“I wouldn’t have expected anyone from our little entourage to push themselves to go. I’d ask if you want to wander with me, but if you’re studying...” he trailed off, giving a cheeky little shrug.

 Paris was not a new environment for Dominiq–rather, it  was a very familiar place but he was rusty with getting around… and recognizing people. Granted, he must have been about ten last time his family was in Paris, just before everything went downhill, but he expected to be better at recognizing people than this. Still, she looked like Chloe, dressed like Chloe, and when she opened her mouth–

The brunette offered a slight grin, dimples marking his cheeks. "I’m just a little lost, Dove. Can you point me in the right direction of the science lab?” he teased, testing her memory with her old nickname.

Chloe almost instantly dropped the tone and sass from her voice when she hear the old Nick name she hadn’t been called in at least six years to her face. Looking up she pushed her bangs out of her eyes and just look at the other teen for only a second or two - noone else knowing that nickname for her besides maybe Adrien. “Dom?” She smiled before jumping up and hugging him, her arms wrapping tightly around him. “What are you doing back in Paris? Also finally surpassed me in height” The blonde teased pulling away. It would be so nice to have Dom back in town.

  Her switch from her chilly demeanor to jumping into his arms earned Chloe a laugh, Dominiq squeezing just a little before allowing her to move back. “Mother decided to clean up residences and we’re moving into the Paris estate again. It’s bigger and closer to her husband’s family.” usually that would have been said with a little venom, but now wasn’t the time-- he was just excited to see Chloe and not promptly humiliate himself calling a stranger by her nickname. He rolled his eyes a little at the poke about his height, his smile widening a little. “Or, you finally decided to stop being the tallest,” he teased back. “I just finished paperwork, I’ll be joining the public school come fall and thought I would tour around and see what I’ll be dealing with.”
