*he feels a furry thing rub up against his leg. Still shakey he slides down the door frame he was leaning up against and gently picks up the cat. Harsh, uneaven breaths come out and his shakey hand pets the animal, attempting to calm himself down from what's happening. He feels a odd connection to this mysterious cat. If he has a clearer mind he'd probably question how the hell a cat got in, but he's to disoriented to think of that*

*The cat LOVES your touch and keeps rubbing against you, purring in delight. It licks your leg a lot. They know you needed a friend, or- no they didn't they are just a cat. That would be crazy. Your losing it, Sirius*

*in the midst of still being comforted by Toast, Teacup hears the sound of… purring? He looks behind him to see Sirius is on the ground, holding a small Orange cat.*

“Wh- h-how did a cat get in here?”

*He asks, voice still shaky from crying.*

*The cat looks like they want you to come over and pet it as well*

*Teacup stands up, leaving Toast slightly confused as he walks over to Sirius and the cat.*

“Hey there, fuzzy dude..”

*He pets the cat and scratches under its chin, noticing now the cat presses its face against his hand.*

*Teacup and Sirius gently pet the little furr ball in silence before Sirius picks up the cat again and hold it in his hands*

"Yknow... I think I'll take care of this little guy..."

“Honestly? I think that’ll be good for you. What are you gonna name it..?”

"Quasar. I dunno. I like the name"

“That’s… definitely a choice… its your cat though, so I won’t judge.”

*Holding onto the cat Sirius attempts to get back up before he hisses in pain and sits back down again, remembering his problem*

"Sooo... I know you uhm, kinda had that whole moment with Toast- and I'm pretty sure they don't want me here-"

*Sirius looks past Teacup to see Toast looking at him, though it's blurry due to his lack of glasses and dizziness from before*

"-what do you suggest I do?" *he trys petting the cat in his arms to calm down but the shake in his hands and voice is still evident*

“I’m… uh.. I’m not sure. I think the best thing would be to take you to a different room to avoid further conflicts..

Uhm… I also think you shouldn’t move, at least not for a few more minutes..”

*Teacup looks over at Toast, and then at DE.*

“Would.. uh.. is it okay if Sirius stays in here for just a few more minutes? At least until he’s stable enough for me to take him elsewhere?”

Let's go. *he scoops up the little fur ball in his lap and trys standing up against the door frame. It sort of works but makes him a little dizzy*

*Teacup does his best to guide Sirius out of the room and far enough to avoid any accidental interaction with Toast or DE again.*

“So.. uh.. You know this place better than I do.. have any ideas of where else I could take you to rest?”

"Hmm, well- there's that back closet in Cobs' office? If we take the elevator that's to the right down this hall we'd probably be there in only a couple of minutes."

"And... *Sirius looks down at Teacup to see the keys still in his cup* ...perfect. There's a spare key in there that can get us in."

“That’s good. Yeah, let’s go. And if you have trouble holding.. uhh.. oh right. If you have trouble holding Quasar, just put them in my cup. A little extra weight shouldnt affect me too much.”

*Teacup grabs the keys before following Sirius’ directions to get them all to the elevator.*

*Sirius laughs and gently places the now sleeping cat in Teacups cup.*

*Getting to the elevator Sirius presses some buttons before they finally make it to the office.*

*they get to the office, and Teacup opens the door, letting himself and Sirius inside. He flips on the light, and the sight before him is.. quite an interesting one.*

“Uhhh… Sirius-?? The- the window is broken.”

“Ha sure- oh my god…”

*He looks around the messed up room incredibly confused before looking back at Teacup*

“What did she- what did you guys do?!”

Ehem.. Big dragon ship arrived here, broke the window. Chess piece people came in and took MeRec.

MeRec is now gone on their ship and they won’t give her back until we get rid of Cobs’ ghost.

"Big dragon ship- Chess piece people?! Oh my God I should've just politely asked Merec to give me CEO permissions... Would've been able to clear Cobs name in the process..."

"Well, *he nervously fixes his tie with one hand" let's hope that the closet over there is still intact, then we can figure out... This situation..."

"I have a feeling they don't just want to get rid of Cobs- but possible accomplices as well..."

*Teacup then pauses as he takes in Sirius’ words.*

“Wait- wait no. No. ahah. That’s- that’s not gonna happen. I’m not gonna let that happen, Sirius. Nothing is going to happen to you.”

*it seems like Teacup is trying to convince himself more than he’s trying to convince or comfort Sirius.*

"Look- Teacup. I appreciate your comfort and sparing me, I really do, but lets be real- before Cobs came back as a ghost again, I was enemy number one. -

-You can take me to the closet and fix me up all you want but we both have to face the fact that I'm going to die by the end of this."

*he looks at Teacup, smiling without any happiness*

"Do you really want me to live? Or have you convinced yourself that you do out of pity- or maybe even fear? Hey! Look to the bright side kid, at least this is payback for the other lives I've taken, hm? Now let's get to the closet, might as well use my time somewhat wisely"

*Teacup wipes away a tear he hadn’t even noticed was forming. He starts to ramble, not even knowing if it makes sense just needing to say something.*

“Look, Sirius. I- I don’t even know at this point what it is, all I know is I don’t want you to die!! I- I keep telling myself there has to be a reason I spared you, a reason I gave you that second chance that nobody else would ever have considered.

And- and maybe it’s pointless, maybe it’s stupid, but I can’t stand the idea of you getting killed after finally starting to change.

Sirius what do you mean ‘other lives.’ Did… Did Cobs make you kill people-?”

*His expression darkens and he looks back to the door in the corner of the room.*

"Lets get inside and sit down. Then there's something I need to confess to."

*Teacup helps Sirius into the closet, and both of them sit down on the ground.*

“So…”

"Um, well- a while ago in Meeple, there was a group of I think, 3 employees? This was around the time where a lot of Steve's products were failing in some way- so tensions were high in the company, sudden layoffs and not stellar work conditions definitely didn't help. In retaliation, they found a lot of internal files, one of which being Mephone4s, and threatened to leak them all.-

-no matter how much money or threats Steve sent their way, they didn't back down... So one morning, he called me to his office and... Told me I must 'get rid' of them as soon as I could..."

*Sirius let's out a shakey breath before he goes on*

"I- I don't remember much after that- something about my brain probably wanting to forget what I did- but, I do remember afterwards- Cobs praising me saying he'd 'clean up the rest' and to go home early because 'you must be so exhausted!'"

"The last thing I remember was looking in the mirror when I got home... I just, dissociated, I think?"

"...there was 2 other instances. But by the third time you get kinda numb. Kept telling myself- 'as long as he's happy, I'm doing the right thing.'"

"I feel horrible, for everyone, obviously. Seeing the news about 'missing people' knowing damn well I was the cause. I still down know why he didn't just do the dirty work himself- why I had to kill them. But it's not like I can do anything about that now."

*Sirius goes silent, looking to the ground instead of at teacup*

*Teacup sat there, silent. It.. it was a lot to take in.*

“Was that why you tried to kill Toast and DE..? Because they were getting too close to information you didn’t want to risk getting out? Information that would’ve muddied Cobs’ name more than it already has been?”

"That and I guess I still had the mentality of 'kill to get your way'.... I just forgot who normally helps me get rid of the evidence afterwards..."

"Maybe that's why I was so surprised at you sparing me, I mean who would forgive a murderer?" *he laughs but it's awkward and laced with regret*

“Yeah.. god.. Sirius it would be so much easier if you hadn’t done all that before.. You’re definitely fucked when the Alliance comes around…”

I, unlike most people, though I would’ve probably acted differently had I known it wasn’t the first time, am able to look ahead and put things in the past.

I do feel a little bit more.. conflicted now, knowing the full story, but still.. I stick to my point.
