i do also think like with the cheating stuff one thing that always annoys me is that there’s a presumption of innocence or stupidity about women who date hockey players, as if they’re incredibly naïve and have to “girl open your eyes” lol… so many of these women have survived the social pressure of sorority life and micro influencer circles and people on tumblr treat them like unbelievably stupid girls who have no idea the (culturally, especially in canada) sexually desirable young men who play 40+ games out of town are cheating on them… very goofy
