#Repost @erica.d.429 with @repostapp ・・・ I recently had someone send me a message because they heard that milk was bad for you as it contains dihydrogen monoxide. Well, that was a new one! You see, dihydrogen monoxide can sound like pretty scary stuff. After all it is a major component of acid rain, can cause severe burns, causes erosion of land, corrodes metal, and inhalation of it can cause death. But if you happened to have paid attention during chemistry class, it wouldn't scare you at all. Dihydrogen monoxide is the chemical name for water. Yes, plain old water! It can also be referred to as H2O: two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Dihydrogen monoxide is getting a lot of attention lately because it is a great way to scare people who aren't in on the joke. Lots of people fall for it and there are petitions to ban the use of dihydrogen monoxide that get tons of signatures from people who perhaps should have paid more attention in school. Enjoy that glass of milk (or chocolate milk!) - it is very nutritious and a high quality product. Yes, one component of milk is water (otherwise known as dihydrogen monoxide), but it is perfectly safe. Really! #farm365

Hard to believe that this was my 12th and last year in 4-H. I have definitely learned to do by doing well using my head heart hands and health. I have learned or improved many skills in my 12 years as a 4-H member as well as completing 77 projects and participating and many local, Regional, provincial and National 4-H events. #4hontario #4h #learntodobydoing #4his4me @chathamkent4h @4hcanada
