Beetlejuice was a movie that got a lot of play in my childhood regardless of the season, but wearing out my old VHS copy just had more meaning come October. I was known to, on occasion, fast forward to the sections where the titular character showed up out of sheer impatience (and a bit of a childhood crush that I haven’t entirely grown out of). Not always, though—I mean the whole film is so fanciful and macabre that it’s an obvious choice to appeal to kids. The only truly alarming childhood memory I have tied to this film was the day I learned that Beetlejuice and Batman were one and the same.

I've been trying harder, I guess. Now that I'm doing more with the guys and getting back into the swing of life again, it's getting better.

I guess. I don't know. Either way, I'm feeling better. Life doesn't suck. As much. Probably. I like hanging out with Bruce and James. And Peake and Spoole and Adam. We're alright.

I don't want anyone to ask how I'm feeling. Because I'm not. Not really, at least. It was bad when he left and it's only really getting alright now. The trip to Austin with all the guys made it feel alright, feel like normal.

But now, we're back in LA and everyone who's supposed to be in the haus is here except for him. So that's nice, that's fine. Whatever, I just want to sit in my room, okay. Nothing wrong with that.
