Loch Duich Residence in Letterfearn

This beautiful house, by Rural Design Architects, in an extraordinary location on the edge of Loch Duich enjoys extraordinary views to both the Five Sisters Mountain range and to Eilean Donan Castle across the loch. The project combines both new build and refurbishment. The highlight is the amazing view through the structural glass gable.

Teringat kisah manusia pertama Adam dan yg kedua Hawa, melanggar peraturan dan memakan buah kuldi.. Dan terusir dari surga dalam keadaan terbuka aurat keduanya.. Kemudian keduanya diturunkan ke bumi yang gelap tanpa sinar dan terpisah.. rasa rindu pun tak terlihat ujungnya hingga akhir mass.. Saat kata itu maaf tak mampu menghapus penyesalan.. Karena menyakiti yang dicintai dan yg mencinta.. 100 tahun terpisah bukan hal yang mudah,, namun mungkin mampu menghapus kata sesal.. dan menemukan Cinta Sejati..

Family Retreat in Sanur

D-Associates’ pursue a sense of home away from home in Bali, Indonesia with the project DRA House.

From the architects:

The brief is simple, to design a villa for an extended Indonesian family in Sanur, one of the most iconic Southern Balinese settlements and the island’s most established tourist destinations. Not dealing with the Western world’s imagination of a somewhat ‘Balinese’ exoticism, here we are encountering a more subtle appreciation of the calm tropical landscape of Sanur. The villa is envisioned as a family retreat set in a tropical landscape, a contrast to their Jakarta living, while learning from a particular aspect of spatial configuration of Bali’s indigenous dwelling architecture: an emphasis in breaking up the volume of a house and in blurring the inside and outside spaces.
