Brief announcement on wrapping up the Ball!

Hey all, I hope you're having/have had a great time with the Bloodhaven Ball!

As we know, we're now past the official run-time of the Ball. As real-life has gotten in the way a little with the organisers we're slightly behind on posting, but hoping that conclusions to events and storylines will be incoming within the next week or so.

In the meanwhile we highly encourage you to keep doing what you're doing - engage with each other at the Masquerade, finish up any scenes still running, and just generally have a good time playing in the metaphorical sandbox with the other guests.

Once we've wrapped up the event more formally we'll be reaching out for thoughts and feedback too, so keep an eye out for that post when it eventually goes up!

Posting on here as well so all can see, but unfortunately I’m going to be taking a brief, emergency, hiatus. I have been attempting to write and keep up with posts while visiting family and it just feel like too much to balance. Things are a bit tricky with them right now, but things are/will be okay.

As per RPs relating to the Bloodhaven Ball please continue to have them, follow up with one another. Baron/Tin/Viscount/etc. will just be stepping away for the time being. I would like to come back to the Bloodhaven Ball when I have the time, but that’s just not going to be now, or soon. Hopefully this upcoming week, but I can’t say for sure. Family just needs me and I need to focus on them.

Things like Bloodhaven Official posts will be coming, like the Tourney Winners, and the Hunt Winners… but unfortunately I cannot get them out now, but I will soon. I just don’t have any time to focus on it.

I promise I’ll be back soon, and headed back to a semi-normal posting schedule, just can’t right this second.

Hi!! Yes of course I do!! The first, and in my opinion the hardest thing to do is pick a concept! There are many archetypes and walks of life from the Medieval world, from peasants to knights to royals and all those in between.

An optional take is figure out what your niche is! @sirtin doesn’t really have a twist per say, but his niche is jousting and being an all around lovable character (which still doesn’t set him apart). @evilbaron has his own niche by being a low ranking nobleman, so he’s super ambitious and wants to raise higher than his position (and he’s evil lol).

Secondly, I’d decide whether you’re into horny-posting or not! It’s okay if you do both or don’t really do mature content but a big aspect of the community is that “if you’re gonna post mature content label your blog as 18+.” This is for both the moderator and the viewers sake, because 1.) mods don’t want to get in trouble/banned, and 2.) most of us don’t feel comfortable with the idea of minors looking at our content, it feels invasive! Do your part and if you’re gonna post mature content, label it!

Thirdly, start interacting with the community! This is a great way to find people who will Roleplay with you, as well as find friends! If you want, when you have a concept, come back to me and I’ll RP with you! And if you need help with setup and such like an intro post.

Finally, have fun with it! It’s not a big scary thing, this is for each others, and our own, enjoyment! Also feel free to leave asks or even DM me with more questions!
