Sisi had planned out a whole show for X'vahl Tia's nameday, on the stage in Gridania. But she forgot to book it in advance, and when she got there, the stage was occupied. The friendly Gold Saucer attendant in front said that they were welcome to perform to the side of the Make it Rain display, but by then, the Primogs were refusing to share a stage with "that smug bow-tie-wearing mog up there" Sisi did try to explain that the giant moogle on the display was only a model, but that made things worse "hahhhh, he thinks he's a pretty guy, huuuh?" Eventually a compromise was met, wherein the furry little shites divas would continue heckling the moogle statue on the Make it Rain display, and Sisi would play one of their instruments loudly enough to cover it up.

Sisito Sito's Nameday Challenge!

Right it be saying 'ere that Gee-Oh-Mancy is power from the ground and you can be doing divvy...divvy-nations with it and also sometimes healin' people. Dunno how that works, I've been digging stuff out the ground for yonks and I can't remember any of it being very chatty about the future and that.

Well I s'pose you could give it a go if you wanted. Do Moogles be having much need for Gee-Oh-Mancy? What with you bein' all floaty in the air most of the time? Well yes I suppose you could be making trees grow faster, but I don't be seein.... Hang on....is this about ruddy Kupo Nuts again?

Currently watching: On youtube right now, RathGames' latest Stardew Valley challenge video, since his XIV Solo Only videos are currently in the streaming stage and I do love me some SdV challenges- this one, he's got the game clock set to 50x, it's quite silly. As for TV, I'm on my approximately quadrennial rewatch of 80s/90s Star Trek, and I'm currently 3 seasons deep into Voyager. It is also quite silly.

Current obsession: The adhd is winning over the autism right now, I have no attention span for anything, I skim across the surface in meandering spirals.

Currently reading: I just finished Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and now I've started on The Trial by Franz Kafka. Honestly, I want to read something light and fun and accessible instead but it feels like every book I try irritates me right now.

Currently working on: irl, trying to fix my house up to sell, UGH I HATE IT. Ingame, leveling various jobs (Monk right now) and crawling through Allied Societies. Creatively, who knows - unless someone gives me a list, I am unreliably spontaneous.

Currently wearing: Black t-shirt with an illustration of an Opossum on it, having a little yell, with AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA all around it, on a peppy 90's looking pink and blue and yellow background. Black cotton parachute pants. Black, purple and yellow stripy socks (mismatched in pattern, but coordinated - this combination of socks are the only socks I wear). Black framed glasses with blue-pink-and-holo star glitter embedded in the frames but I should be wearing my rainbow-framed computer glasses now ooops.

Last DuckDuckGo search: Apart from spellcheck searches for "Dostoyevsky" and "Quadrennial", my last DuckDuckGo search was "amh araeng flowers" to confirm that my last post wasn't about something everyone knew about and talked about constantly and I'd just never noticed.

Favorite flower: I really love crocuses, but really, most bulby spring flowers are my vibe. Tulips, daffodils, bluebells, hyacinths - all those kinda fellas. But crocuses best, working the Complimentary Colours on the colour wheel like they do!

Sisi found these random huge flowers, growing out of a solid rock face, as big as her, tucked behind a mountain range, on ground inaccessible on foot, at the very map-edge of Amh Araeng. There are no other flowers or plants like this anywhere in the region, they can't be interacted with or stood next to, and they're very hidden away. Sisi has no bloody clue.

I noticed these back when I first started playing, when Shadowbringers was current, and I've never heard anyone mention them ever. I have to assume they're some sort of dev's "anchor" when they were building the region? Maybe? But I, too, have no bloody clue.

Contract negotiations for the live Bluebirds on Sisi's bow include clauses for fair wages (consisting of fruit scraps), ample rest periods (while Sisi is DPSing the floor, in hard duties), and semi-regular karaoke sessions with the Primogs (to which nobody could object. Legally.)

having traveling companions is certainly nothing new to nomin...but it is something when a moogle decides to drop in and spend its time with her! she had found a cave of glowing mushrooms which seemed perfect for shelter and being able to navigate her way back out when needed. it seemed this little guy also found this place to be quite spectacular!

belated birthday entry for @sisitosito's show a moogle something new! i rolled over a bunch of areas in my head, but this one stuck out to me the most since the dravanian hinterlands is a bit of a pain to go with no aetheryte there in ease of access outside of somewhere like...idyllshire. so while nomin's not necessarily going out of her way to show something new, it's new to the moogle here at any rate!

Happy Late Birthday @sisitosito! when I think of out of the way areas I think of this little cliff face in Thanalan. It's an important part of Flidais's story, being near where she first woke up. I also love it as I once sat and chatted with a good friend here for hours. A perfect place for a picnic or to just enjoy the evening! I hope your birthday was a good one!

Sisito Sito's Nameday Challenge: Cultural Appreciation Edition

So hey @sisitosito I'm cataloging props for Purposes, right? and you know what I've always wondered?

What's this super generic looking block of wood and what's it used for? and by which NPC? For the longest time I couldn't figure it out..

Until I spotted this nice fellow at the Doman Enclave one day...

and I thought huh that's interesting, why's he clapping the blocks around the enclave like that?

So I joogled and yoodled and goobled some more...

Turns out it's an old traditional fire safety sort of PSA all the way from the Edo period. The neighborhood watch would walk around with these wooden clappers and yell "hinoyoujin!" as a reminder to watch for fires, especially during the dry winter season and around busier neighborhoods where there'd be higher risk of fires spreading.

And I just think it's the neatest thing that 1) people in Japan still keep this tradition alive and 2) the devs thought to add this little detail to the Doman Enclave, among so many other fun details. I feel culturally enriched, do you feel culturally enriched? Isn't Stormblood great?

But then! It occured to me and @pocketyoukai that's the perfect job for the little moogle troupe, we should put these little buggers to wor— I mean honor the call of their hearts and harness your friends' talents for the good of the Enclave.

So we had our own little fire safety walk. It was a success! Very proud of them.

And only one single fire started!

Anyway they're no longer allowed on Enclave grounds, so they're mogmailing themselves back home to you a little more cultured (and definitely not singed) thanks. ✨Sisito's Nameday Challenge ✨

Sometimes I miss ARR dungeons and their weird optional rooms. Modern dungeon design is generally a lot less annoying to run with other people, but ARR dungeons had opportunities for stuff like this completely unique (at least, I think it's unique...) torture device just in a random side room of Haukke Manor that you don't have to go into. Morbid, but fun!

Also, this moogle is Taoist 'cause it's the only moogle minion I've got. She's considering a career change to postmoogle. Being a Taoist doesn't pay that well.

It would seem you're very popular. The delivery moogles have many and more presents with your name on them. It is likely Oscar does not have all of them on him. It is in fact highly likely you will see more of fuzzy creatures through out the day.
