You know, I originally nearly didn’t post this one. I bounced it all around my Queue, changed the wording and font, and almost shelved it entirely. I just wasn’t really sure that my intent was coming across right. Then, almost on impulse, said “screw it”, plugged it in, and hit post. The idea that its possible to be trans and positive about it seems to have resonated.

So… you don’t have to be submissive to others. You don’t have to tear yourself down, even if others have tried to in the past. You can do all those things if you want to, because who am I to tell you what gets your motor running. But, maybe just give the whole self-empowerment thing a shot. That little squeezing in your chest? That’s your confidence in your self growing just a little bit every time you say “I am a woman.”
