Assalaamu Aliekum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu! My name is Roda. I am 19 years old. Raised in the U.S. Alhamdulilah and I want to share with you a gift. I warn you, billions of people already have this gift, but few really use or share it. This gift is Islam. I am going to share with you my religion becuase it is truly the best gift anyone can give or receive. However, I am not a scholar or anything with a title. I am just a student of knowledge. Someone committed a sin and then said: “O Allah! SubhanAllah. I just want to cry, wallahi. And you know I don’t like crying in front of people, even though I try so hard I can’t…not in the way I do when I’m alone with you ya Allah. Its just today you guided to me lots of beautiful things…at least made me realize what I have and what my goal is....

The young men of the Sahabah (Radiallahu Anhum) were leaders of armies. Usama ibn Zaid (R.A) a 17 year old was the Emir (Leader) of the army the time Abu Bakr (R.A) & Umar Ibn Khattab (R.A) were in it. Mus’ab ibn Umayr (R.A) was a young man. Muhammad S.A.W sent him to Madinah with some Ansar. Long story, short. Mus’ab (R.A) in a couple of weeks, there was not a house in Madinah who did not have a convert or a revert in it. All of the tribes accepted Islam!!!

Mus’ab (R.A) was one of the richest youth in Makkah, when he used to pass across the street, people used to say Mus’ab (R.A) passed from this street from the fragrance of the perfume he left behind. One day the light of Islam entered his heart and he accepted Islam with Muhammad S.A.W. His mother tried to torture to leave Islam, he kept on saying no. Mus’ab (R.A) then went to Muhammad S..A.W with no family, with no one to look after him anymore, he started wearing sheep skin as his clothes (imagine wearing that in the heat of Makkah!!) He used to sweat and that would give out bad fragrance. So when Muhammad S.A.W used to see him come in that state he used to CRY..Look what the love of Allah & His prophet did to him! Look at his rank, in couple of weeks all the Muslims of Madinah are in his book because of his Da’wah. Mus’ab (R.A) was young like many of us, but he was smart. He worked for Allah for couple of years and then he was martyed in the Battle of Uhud. When he was martyred this ayah (verse) was revealed:

مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ ۖ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلًا

"Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah . Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration.” - [Surah Ahzaab 33:23]

How real is Jannah in our eyes? How often do we really think about it? Or better said how much do we work for it? I know that I myself really should work harder for it. The thought of that our minds will never be able to imagine its beauty says something about Jannah, subhanAllah. It is important to read more about it, its people and how to get there. Because it is a place where one can be blessed to be forever! And imagine being in a perfect place forever, subhanAllah that would really be a big dream coming true.
