I think this year everyone should go back to making Star Wars verses for their original characters/characters from other canon. Especially prequels era! It would be fun and we could all play together *bats eyelashes*

a trip to coruscant. a rather important one. one that involved more-so her mother and father to make the decision first and foremost. an alliance with the republic. sure, she was soon to be next in line--but they still had a say. and so did she when her time came--whether or not to possibly continue a relationship with the republic.

but eris was young and ever curious still. a bustling place she had never been. talks of jedi to be their escorts for their own protection. it delighted the inujan princess so much. the rumors she had heard of them. though, she had never met or seen a jedi of her own here on Inuja. she was starry eyed the entire ride there--head flooding with unanswered questions.

when they had landed, formalities were swapped and greetings were given, the princess observing from the sidelines. she had never seen such a place. the tall metal buildings and lights--bustling with life. and so much of that familiar feeling she felt inside herself. she could feel them in others here, too. so many others. they seemed to be keen on beginning their discussion, suggesting the princess do what she pleased along the grounds in the company of her assigned protector while they did so.

a polite way to say: we don't want to bore you or.. we don't want another voice to interfere with a possible positive decision.

gaze swiveled, only to be met with a dirty blonde haired boy before her, eris giving him a small smile while she looked him up and down in awe. she stepped a little closer, voice quiet while the parties began to walk off.

" ...well I think they should be worried whether or not I will bore you. " jabbing at the fact she was being left behind. she wore a simple gold diadem, the small jewel in the center of her forehead a murky green. it matched her eyes. delicate silk looking fabric draped her form, a dusted blush color that complimented her pale skin.

ugh, politicians. anakin didn't like them, with perhaps one or two exceptions, and he was certain that they probably didn't like him, considering the jedi were not tools to be wielded by those in power and it seemed to drive those in power to distraction. the jedi were not part of the government or beholden to the senate. they followed the same laws as everyone else but what they chose to do as an order was not dictated by elections or power struggles. anakin could have gone his whole life without sitting in on a senate discussion or some brand new focus group that was reporting back about relations with the outer rim.

he and obi-wan were in agreement that they had too many dealings with the republic representatives as it was, and that was perhaps one of the only things they agreed on recently. the only person anakin was keen to see from that lot was palpatine, and he was often busy and away attending to things that came along with his station. it was not, however, uncommon for the jedi to be asked to assist with diplomatic things, given that they were a neutral party between the republic and the system of independent planets. better to borrow a jedi padawan than saddle the princess with some incompetent coruscant yes man with a blaster.

anakin felt as though when he'd become a padawan, he'd been promised a boring life full of contemplative meditation and yet it had been one adventure after another for him and obi-wan, and now he was being ushered along to meet another young girl, only a few years older than him, as her parents prepared to meet with the government officials. well, at least she was pretty. if he had to keep an eye on her, he might as well appreciate the view. and she was human, or so she appeared, which made it easier than when he wasn't sure where to look and where to direct his speech as it occasionally happened with more non-human aliens.

"my job is to keep you safe. if that's boring, i guess i'm doing it right." a pause. "but we don't have to stay here the whole time. i'm almost a knight, there isn't anything on coruscant that could harm you while you're with me." he too wished to get out of the stuffy suite and into the wild of the metropolis, where he was so rarely allowed to wander and explore.
