Old video clips of Chase, one of my coworker's dogs, when he was first learning his sidepass.
Me trying to convince a nervous student to do a course or advanced move that their dog is more than ready for, but they're scared.
Haven't posted anything because I'm easily distracted. Here's an old clip of Dexter working on his backwards weaves. This was session 3 I think?
Me: Okay, now remember, we talked about this, I want you to ask your dog to sit, but you may only use the cue word once, okay? Don’t repeat it.
Student: Got it.
[three seconds later]
Student: Sit Lily! Sit. Sit! Sitsitsitsitsit.
Me: *Crying*
Chase began working on his reverse a couple weeks ago, but I forgot about it and it was left untouched until his owner reminded me of it and I spent some time on it yesterday. This would be session 3, I think. The time off did him no harm and he progressed to working away from the wall and to doing multiple passes. He still occasionally wanders a bit far out bit it's looking nice.
Session 4 of the sidepass with Chase. Thought we'd give applying it to a mini routine a go. He was pretty tired by this point, and I was still recovering from my days sick. I was having a hard time keeping up with him. XD
"Go to Your Corner."
Chin rests.
Rory's dramatic death scene.
Chase's sneeze. His cue to sneeze is a deep sniffle from the handler. His owner caught a cold last week and it was hilarious.
Chase sidepass day 3. I was very sick, so we only touched on it before I left early for the day.
Chase working on a modification on bow, "kneel."
