아이 Love - f(x)
Okay here's the thing, f(x) just has an amazing discography overall but this song specifically is so addicting to listen to
I'll be honest the actual verses arent rly anything to write home about BUT THAT CHORUS... oh f(x) you just never miss
HOWEVER!! The instrumental feels a bit loud compared to the vocals but thankfully never actually drowns them out
Overall i'd give this a 9/10 :]
can't believe I went from disliking idol rhythm games because they supposedly "took attention away from the OTHER rhythm games that I like" to having mostly friends that play idol rhythm games and becoming in peace with the fact that it's not that serious LMAO
True but it's forever fuck idol games when they kill their company's already established rhythm game series (YES i'm still salty that pjsk killed the project diva franchise 🥀)
I don't think pjsk killed diva in its entirety it's just sega doing fuckall to keep it alive because megamix was overpriced and it's so much easier to ask a third party to manage a gacha game for you (at least internationally), sit back and profit Like bro they released the same switch game on PC full price and thought everyone would buy it Covid and the tendancy of teenagers aged 13 to 16 to get chronically online on live service gacha games didn't help
Didn't they outright confirm that they discontinued the diva series due to sekai's success???
If you can find me a source then sure but that just proves my point: they're lazy and chose to only focus on the thing that brought them the most money at the time, regardless of fan loyalty. They clearly have the money to handle two IPs at once, and again the fact that diva failed at the end was because of megamix being..well, megamix. You can apply this logic to all of their abandonned IPs too. It's just like how square enix only prioritizes final fantasy especially 7 and everyone else gets crumbs. I complain a lot as a Kingdom Hearts fan but let's be real when was the last time you've heard of Dragon Quest? Let's also not mention the fact Square Enix executives thought that final fantasy rebirth did NOT earn them enough money despite being hyped and trending for MONTHs back then. Big game companies these days no longer prioritize multiple IPs if they have one cash cow they only play with the cash cow and everything else? Eh I guess we'll just strike down fan games for the sole purpose of maintaining copyright in the eyes of the law. The only big company I see keeping multiple IPs alive no matter the money earned is Nintendo like see how the Bayonetta and Xenoblade (granted this one isnt 100% Nintendo) are still alive despite their games selling like shit compared to other first party titles? See how Splatoon was even POSSIBLE in the first place? Don't get me wrong Nintendo are not angels (lol) but I bet you can tell the difference from what I've described.
Okay SO there was an interview in an officially licensed book..? Or at least that's what I think it is
Translation : (I got this online so might be a bit inaccurate)
"There were many difficult times. In particular, the DIVA series has a problem with the balance between production costs and sales. Due to the structure not being able to come to terms with each other, As a whole, i was also was considering expanding the system but considering following trends SEKAI have a better success. Multiple business about Project DIVA ran into trouble, and a successor project was launched around 2016. A social game based on DIVA arcade and this was also quite difficult... to make a major trajectory change. This will lead to the project of ``Projects'' which is a completely new approach"
TLDR sekai is more profitable so they abandoned diva
