clean. take the time to tidy and scrub your home, and get to those things youâve been neglecting (like the floor. or is that just me?)
self care. make a face/hair mask, drink something you enjoy, paint your nails, do a puzzle, etc. just take some time for yourself.
try a new recipe. use up ingredients close to expiry to avoid waste!
start a project. build that birdhouse youâve been thinking about, or start that big painting you didnât have time for previously. learn to play a new song.
exercise. youtube is your friend for bodyweight fitness, yoga, and workout routines. or just dance your heart out.
make a change. wanting to start rising earlier or cutting back in caffeine? perfect time to readjust and reevaluate your structure.
reconnect. skype that old friend youâve been thinking about. send some memes to your mutuals online. do those ask games and challenges.
learn. make progress on a language or teach yourself how to code. listen to insightful audiobooks and stimulate your brain.
stay safe, smart, and hygienic!
âSo called âlate-bloomersâ get a bad rap. Sometimes the people with the greatest potential often take the longest to find their path because their sensitivity is a double-edged sword- it lives at the heart of their brilliance, but it also makes them more susceptible to lifeâs pains. Good thing we arenât being penalized for handing in our purpose late. The soul doesnât know a thing about deadlines.â

You should never feel the need to apologize for asking somebody to do the right thing.
This applies to many situations: at work when you see somebody not following rules, in social settings when somebody says or does something inappropriate, etc. I often hear people cautiously correct somebody along the lines of âYou shouldnât be doing that, sorry.â They are the one in the wrong, not you. If anybody should be apologizing, itâs them. You speaking up takes bravery but as soon as you apologize you automatically turn your statement from a request to a suggestion.
âPutting yourself out there -â
Is a necessary evil, and let me tell you why.
(a dash of hopefully helpful rambling for my people with imposter syndrome, variations of the sort, or feel like they donât deserve stuff)
I have issues I never wanted to acknowledge, but Iâm trying to quit being in denial as a gift to myself. I overthink the littlest of things. I feel like I donât deserve anything unless I do the absolute most and even then, I will never take what Iâm owed unless the person Iâm doing this for, a regular degular or an authority figure, shows their appreciation in a consistent way, enough to where Iâm 100% sure Iâm not âbotheringâ them. I do good by a whole lot of people, but I never cash my efforts in. I have endless opportunities rolling in and rolling right past me, slow enough to where I just need to reach out, but I simply donât. I believe everything Iâve ever worked for, every accolade Iâve made, every step Iâve ever had the pleasure of taking was set up for me, and I just accepted it as something I had no choice but to do and did them. I unintentionally set up a facet of myself as my entire self to so many people when meeting them, and not only did I accept it for what it was, I continued to diligently play that persona that I absolutely hate just thinking about, and I refuse to give myself an out just because âI need to commitâ.
I can keep going on and on, but thatâs not the point of this post. Iâm writing this to you so you could benefit off of what I had to learn the hard way. Iâve been like this since I was thirteen years old (almost 22 now), and only one instance, one random decision to say, âScrew it!â a couple of weeks ago opened my eyes to what it could be like if I snatched that opportunity slowly rolling right past me.
I was doing an online internship and thought, âHm, these people donât know meâŚso what if I acted like, I dunno, my damn self? Iâll never have to see them again anyways and worry about seeming inhumane.â And so I did. I wanna say it all worked out, but it didnât. People treated my like an oddity at first, and I was getting aggravated and upset by that, and was about to retreat behind my robotic ways, but then I reminded myself - no, maybe youâre being sensitive. Maybe theyâre having a bad day. Maybe you shouldnât care because youâll be done in a month and wonât see them ever again?? So I continued being myself. And guess what?
After a while of my ideas being ignored, worrying about it I over spoke or seemed to answer my teamâs concerns immediately like I had nothing better to do, receiving everything with open arms yet with a critical eye - I became the most valuable member of our team. They were mad about that in the beginning because I guess I they had an impression about me, but then they started to confide in me personally, or ask for my input first, or give me permission to rip their work a new one because the only thing Iâm good at is damage assessing and control. And I left them with such an amazing aftertaste that, for the first time in a while, they wanted to keep in touch with me and it seemed genuine.
But thatâs not all. Me being me, I would never go out of my way and talk to a professor and say thank you privately, or hold onto them for future benefit. I just have this weird standard for myself wherein I want to reach my goals absolutely on my own, and not on the backs of anyone else, and Iâm hella extreme about it. But this time I reminded myself again that I can try - it wouldnât take anything away from me if they never responded. And you know what happened?
Not only did that person respond, but they wrote a thank you letter to me for being a good student, told me they recommended me to the place of internship for hire, and then was adamant on staying in touch so they could confirm if Iâd gotten it, and if not, that would hook me up with somewhere else.
Like ??????????????????
As the conversations were happening, I was appalled that they were talking about me like that. As if all the good things Iâve accomplished in my opinion wasnât there as proof that I can do it. I legit started thinking if this was a deeper form of imposter syndrome and if I needed therapy, not gonna lie.
So this was a long-winded build up to what I wanted to leave you with, assuming youâve read all of that - put yourself out there. With all the crutches I gave myself, I never wouldâve thought Iâd get more than what I bargained for just by reaching out to opportunity. If I had known being greedy would get me what I needed, I wouldâve had my hand out a long time ago. Of course, you gotta put in the work to cash it in, but this post was for the people who do and never put themselves out there. Thatâs me. That might be you too. Hopefully after this ramble, you reassess what you think you donât deserve, and I continue to reach out instead of letting opportunity roll right past me.
Hereâs to our collective success.

If someone wonât stop talking, drop something. Theyâll pause when you go to pick it up. Use that opportunity to speak, while you pick up whatever you dropped.

Save instructional manuals for building furniture (ikea is the best) for a backup stash of coloring books for the kiddos.
Especially during COVID, save a trip to the store and bust out some old furniture manuals. My kids are currently coloring in two people putting together TROFAST. Free and fun!

⸠pairing: kim namjoon x readerÂ
⸠summary: in a rare turn of events, kim namjoon thinks heâs finally found something he likes way more than bonsai trees - you.Â
⸠genre: if you google <3 romantic comedy <3 this will be the first thing that pops up as a result; fluffier than the fluffiest cloud on a nice summer day; slow burn!! quite possibly the slowest burn to ever burn but itâs totally worth it; slice of life au?? i think thatâs what itâs called; a touch of angst thatâll make your tummy turn for a little while; introducing new cast members such as cutie-pie deliveryboy!hobi and the ever exquisite bartender!taehyungÂ
⸠word count: 38k

⸠trigger warning: thereâs a written description of an anxiety attack in here, so if events of that nature make you uncomfortable, this is your heads up! youâre welcome to skip over it!!Â
⸠a note from cee:Â
listen, i know that no one usually reads these notes because theyâre so long and lame, and youâre probably begging to me to shut the heck up and just get to the point, but please just bear with me for a little while longer because i wouldnât be saying all of this if it wasnât super important!!Â
oh boy. here we are again! as some of you may know, it was november of last year that la vie en bonsai was first posted and it was november of last year that la vie en bonsai was subsequently taken down. first, i know that itâs taken me a while to come out with another big fic, so thank you for being patient with me. i really wanted to make sure that every little piece of this story was as perfect as it could possibly be. itâs pretty nerve-racking coming out with a big fic when iâve just been writing short little drabbles for one whole year! secondly, itâs worth taking this opportunity to apologise once more for the atrocity that was the first version of la vie en bonsai. i was blinded by my own privilege and i wasnât aware of the hurt that i caused towards the Deaf/HoH community - the absolute last thing i wanted was to make it seem like i was romanticising and using a very real disability as a plot device, to speak on behalf of a community that i am not apart of - and for that, i truly hope you can accept my apology. and if you cannot forgive me, that is completely understandable. i know i missed the mark. i know i screwed up. i know i couldâve handled the backlash more maturely. iâm sorry. finally, i wouldnât even be writing this note if it werenât for every single one of you. you guys have graciously given me a second chance, and for that, i am truly grateful. i just hope that this new, revamped version can show you that i hear every single one of you, that iâm trying my best to learn from my careless mistakes and that iâm trying my best to grow as a person. thank you for giving me the opportunity to make things right.Â
so here it is, from me to you: la vie en bonsai, version two.Â
enjoy.

an author i love just tweeted about how âbig joy and small joy are the sameâ and how she was just as content the other night eating chocolate and cuddling her dog as she was on her Big Trip to new york and honestly. i think thatâs it. this morning i was listening to an audiobook while baking shortbread in my joggers and i realised i really didnât care what Big Things happened in my future as long as i could keep baking and reading at the weekend and maybe that is the kind of bar we have to set to guard ourselves against disappointment. just appreciate and cherish the mundane stuff and see everything else as a bonus.

Excerpt:
âAre you surprised?â he asked with a wide grin. âAm I what you expected?â
Frankly, you didnât know what you expected. Maybe an older woman with wild hair and a long chevron skirt would have been closer to the tantric therapist you were imagining. This man was clearly under thirty, yet he was confident in how he carried himself. No early-20âs-something could pull off this level of surety in himself, you were certain. You could feel the apprehension building as you tried to calculate whether he was younger than you, and by how much. His skin shown like the sun, evident of years of meticulous self-careâor maybe he really was that young and this was just some scam to make a quick dollar. Nevertheless, the dark pools of his eyes knew experienceâŚ

So I was watching Bon Voyage season 1 episode 2 âbehind the camâ and seeing this part gave me IMMENSE âtransferenceâ feels by @jeonjagiya
Literally, itâs the best story ever and you should read it if you havenât. đđ At first I didnât think Iâd get into it, but it was so interesting and pulled me in from the start.
((It has barely gotten to any smutty parts, yet the sexual tension is killing me.))
Bless you for making that story. đđđ
Sandcastles | Prologue
Pairing: Namjoon x Reader (This will be told from Readerâs POV for the prologue, but after this, itâs going to be from Namjoonâs POV. I figured she deserved to have her side seen first)Â
Word Count: 2,205
Genre & Warnings: Angst. Mentions of sex. Infidelity.Â
Notes: Oh wow, cheating. Not an overused plot at all. Ok, but hear me out. So, I was catching up with the last season of Outlander on my lunch break (seriously watch it, so good) and as they started showing Frank and Claireâs marriage, it got me wondering about Frankâs mindset. This story isnât going to be the same as theirâs, but it just made me want to do something using the mentality of the person that is going around with other people while being in an open relationship. Not that Iâm knocking those that choose to be in one, you do whatever works for you. But Iâm here to write drama, so donât hate me! (Also, the title is me being all artsy and cool. You build these great sandcastles, and they get washed away) (P.P.S. Yes, this gave me Tuqburni feels too. But trust me, itâs going to be entirely different.)Â
You arrive at your boyfriendâs workplace with heavy bags filled with food and snacks, even a couple beers. Namjoon had been working so hard lately now that he got promoted and was a big producer at his company, and you worried about him not eating real meals given his tendency to lose himself in his work. He always made fun of his coworker Yoongi for the same thing, not realizing he was just as bad.Â
