As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭19‬ NIV) A persons actions will reveal what is most important to them. Their goals in life, their friends, their hobbies, their morals -- everything about them will show what they are living for.

For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. (Hosea 6:6)

Loving God and others is far more important than the old law. The law was a way for the Iraelites to show their love and worship to God; when Jesus came, He simplified the law and told us to love each other. Seeking God and loving Him are the important aspects of living a Christian life today. Everything else will fall into place after that.

If the whole world was blind, how many people would you impress?

This quote by Boonaa Mohammed is a good reminder that physical beauty or attraction isn't the most important thing in life. In a world where "beauty" is expressed in clothing sizes and the number of people who find you attractive, it can be hard for young Christians to remember that true beauty is on the inside and not the outside. This quote reminds us of 1 Peter 3:3-4, which says, "Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious." Let this quote remind you that your actions and intentions are much more important than your appearance.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. We, as Christians, have been called to a higher standard of living. We have been freed from Sin's grasp, and are called to live pure lives, following in the steps of our Savior.

In James, we are told that since we know the truth, we need to obey it. Simply listening is not enough; action must also be taken.
