I looove the idea of Rabbot who had a messy situationship that they broke off years ago to be professional, and Dennis who violently reminds them of why they loved each other and gets them back together. Like. “I’m STILL your emergency contact,” holds so so much weight in this scenario and it’s DELICIOUS.
Jack who fully thought he was over Robby until he saw how he smiled at Dennis and patted his back and shoulders and fist bumped him and just looked so enamored with him. The same looks he used to give Jack back in their day.
And he just gets this brash, jealous feeling deep in his chest. And he has a little thing for Dennis too, but seeing how much Robby likes him just sends his mind reeling. So, of course he uses it as an excuse to get closer to Dennis.
Robby who notices Dennis picking up some night shifts and Jack slinking around the schedule board. And he watches how Jack turns his gentle teasing and all his charms to the cute little intern. Robby was certain that he was alright being just Jack’s friend, but he gets so sad thinking about how it used to be him where Dennis was, watching Jack flush and stumble despite his usual cool behavior.
Dennis was frankly just sick of them waxing poetic about one another to him, so he just kept dragging them closer and closer together until one night, after he and Robby were done working and Jack had the night off, he dragged them both to a bar. They both had one hand resting on each of Dennis’s thighs, like a claim. Dennis leaned back, watching them stare at each other, before grabbing their faces and pushing them closer together.
“What the hell is this move?” Jack asked, pinching Dennis’s leg.
“Just kiss and make up so we can have a threesome,” Dennis huffed, just drunk enough to think that this would work.
To his defense, it totally did work.
