Who else loves shrek 2? And I don’t mean just “oh I love this movie.” Like this movie is actually decent and has a decent storyline besides the good humor. First of all, (not going in order from favorite things about the movie ) shrek is WILLING to stay HUMAN if that is what Fiona wants and you see it so well depicted how he struggles with the incompetency at first when he fears Fiona might want someone else, or someone human/be happier. Also, the fact “puss n boots” the cat seems so much more… skillful, threatening, and just seems so much more of a character/his true character in this movie(compared to his new movie, which I still love. But if you watch shrek 2, you should see the difference. I wish they wrote a movie with him from his pov alongside shrek, donkey, and kitty). Also the fact Fiona’s dad was willing to risk his life for her but also the part where he says “- I must have gave her the wrong tea” like that gets me everytime- obviously shows how much he cares about his daughter and how much he really just wanted her to be happy and when he realized charming wasn’t going to make her happy earlier he is against the idea of them marrying. And with that, also the fact Fiona was suspicious and not truly convinced that charming was shrek just because of how much she knew shrek and she stayed unconvinced throughout the whole movie. Puss repaying his debt and fighting the crowd of soldiers is a sweet moment too. Puss, donkey, and shrek becoming close (well puss is mainly the only new character introduction) but them getting along and forming bonds is very sweet to see. “I need a hero” is always amazing and has you on the edge of your seat. I think the movie is pretty entertaining and from shrek’s perspective of struggling to feel good enough for Fiona and willing to change what he is to make her happy(not saying you should ever change to make anyone happy) but Shrek being willing to change for her and being so concerned for her happiness but also struggling with his insecurity is so sweet, genuine, and vulnerable to see. Also I’m telling you puss n boots form shrek 2 would’ve kicked ass in a movie from his perspective.

Does anyone think that Billy does what he does in Jurassic Park 3(saving Eric)- because yes he cares, but also because of how things went when Dr.Grant found out about the raptor eggs and Billy was shattered and he wanted to prove himself because of what Alan said? That he is not what Alan said?? Billy was totally wrecked after Alan said those things to him and was distraught after and I feel like you can see it in his face when he makes the decision to put on the paraglider and looks at Alan.

Unrelated caption // Does anyone notice how male friendships are explored way more than female relationships?? And there is only one form or portrayal of female friendships as well. I don’t mind the portrayal of male friendships( in fact I love them) but I wish female relationships were more portrayed and if so, weren’t so stereotypical or shallow. Like girl relationships are one of the closest bonds in the world.
