A new JBL is on the way, and it a Live Action adaptation a very naughty IP.
Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami is getting a drama series courtesy of DMMTV — which recently released short-format BL Century Plant: We're Partners, Friends, and Sometimes Lovers — the steaming service is known for it's mature original programming.
The series stars Kashio Atsuki (Candy Color Paradox) and stage actor Miyazaki Yu in his television debut. Director Shimai Emiko is pretty much in-house talent of DMMTV, this is her first foray into BL-dom.
What I'm really curious about is how saucy is this going to get, because both manga and anime are quite explicit and the entire plot hinges on sex:
When a business trip mix-up forces him to share a room with Fukami, a colleague he’d written off as a flat zero, everything changes: one look at Fukami without his glasses reveals an unexpected sensuality that stops Kaji in his tracks. Discovering they share the same outlook on love, what starts as a light provocation quickly becomes something far more consuming. They keep finding their way back to each other — but what was meant to stay purely physical slowly takes hold of something deeper. Is there a real love waiting at the end of this, or something more complicated?
