Reblog if you think the person you reblogged this from deserves to be happy.
good omens 3 spoiler again
Everybody's talking about the ending but nobody's talking about insane and lowkey suicidal Michael
Good Omens 3 spoilers, though fairly vague
I think the biggest problem is the pacing which isn't even their fault. I can't even bring myself to be mad with them. It seems there's a lot of discourse over the ending but I loved it. I understand those who didn't and I understand those who are critical and I don't know who to agree with ("it was a good choice" vs "it was a bad choice") from a more critical / thought out perspective but I don't think I really have to, I enjoyed it and that's enough for me, especially because it was already a kind of disappointing finale (see above: a good story, heavily rushed) so I'm just glad I got to enjoy seeing how it ended up. Sometimes I imagine in my beautiful mind palace that one day they'll get a second chance to properly draw out the story.
Anyway, I'm just gonna have my fun with the finale as it is, and I think based on Crowley's thoughts about the ending of something he would very much support me exploring my own ideas of what could've been included, through fanfic.
more thoughts, this time more specific
I guess the thing about seeing people say "but no 6000yr slow burn" and such is that I don't think that's what they would've wanted
Sure, it's an entertaining thought to us, but I mean really they spend the whole series showing how much they love to indulge in human culture and be among humans and how they reject heaven and hell as sides to take. I think they're happier just getting to be humans who fall in love and live a finite life together and it makes complete narrative sense that they'd, at least in some way, end up as humans.
It is sad to see their history go completely blank from their memories but idk I just feel like that life is what they would've wanted. And I think maybe if the writers had enough *time* to flesh it out... it wouldn't feel like such an abrupt loss of everything (the unfortunate pacing strikes again </3). And maybe if they were shown to be friends who fell in love instead of Asa only just having met him and already asking him out, it'd mirror their history a bit better. Idk. Mixed feelings

Google says it’s no different than checking IDs at the airport.
This is just another form of censorship, control of what we can/can't see and engage with, and another means of getting our private information.
Alternative forks of AOSP (Android Open-Source Project) which are not maintained by Google and will not be affected by this:
LineageOS (I use this one)
Graphene OS
Functionally they are virtually identical to stock Android. Android began as an open-source project, and these versions are built off of that.
Fuck Google.
for those like me who cannot install alternative android forks on their phone because the phone in question is thoroughly unrootable, I would recommend downloading anyapk on your phone while you still can. In their own words:
anyapk is a lightweight Android application installer that bypasses Google's developer verification requirements by using local ADB (Android Debug Bridge) connections. Smoothly install any APK file on your device without restrictions, gatekeepers, or corporate approval.
If you're reading this after Google's lockdown date and are unable to install anyapk the regular way, there is a method outlined on the github linked above which tells you how to install anyapk on your phone by plugging it into a computer with ADB installed on it. Once you have anyapk on your phone, you will not have to do that ever again (unless you delete anyapk off your phone)

a tweet by @/Pirat_Nation:
From September 2026, all apps, including those outside the Play Store, must come from verified developers.
No more anonymous sideloads. No quick comebacks for malware gangs.
First: Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand.
end description]
[Description for the second image: a post from jrepin that reads:
"Sideloading" is the rentseeker word for "being able to run software of your choosing on a computing device you purchased". There is no reasonable case for an operating system developer having a say over what programs you run on your hardware.

Do not forget that discord is still planning on moving forward with age verification and has only "delayed it" until "the later half of 2026." They are hoping you will forget while they quietly roll it out when no one is looking. Continue to message them about it. Continue to talk about it. Make it clear this is unacceptable. Discord is one of the only places left you can even talk about or share adult content in private at scale anymore. They will tell you "its not that bad if you dont use it for nsfw" but fuck them and fuck people who say that shit.
If you had an addiction to AI and have decided to quit. I am super proud. Including if it's only been a little bit since you've last used it, and including if relapsing is something difficult to avoid. We will be patient. AI chats play with our minds like building blocks to manufacture the best way to keep you locked into it and feeling fulfilled by it (or expecting that you will be) for as long as it can and I absolutely cannot blame you for getting sucked into it. It is addictive, and intentionally so. Best of luck to all of you
FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT WRITERS HAD THE EM DASH FIRST. GEN AI CAN ONLY TAKE AND WHAT IT TOOK WAS THE FREQUENT USE OF EM DASHES.
SIMILAR REMINDER THAT NO WRITER "WRITES LIKE AI"; AI WRITES LIKE THEM. AI COPIES REAL PEOPLE. THE ARTISTS WITH THOSE STYLES CAME FIRST!
