I used this when I was recovering from my binge eating disorder and it saved me. This app works wonders and the best part is its indiscreet (it just says RR and has a picture of a bird so no one who looks through your phone will know what it is) and it is passcode locked so no one can get in. try to notice when you're losing weight, if you keep staring at yourself and saying "fat" while ignoring what progress youre making you wont see yourself any different. you won't wake up one day after all the times you've called yourself fat and look in the mirror thinking "skinny"

if you don't want to watch em heres some tips you should remember that she mentioned,
- food is litterly addicting. it releases endorphins in your brain when you eat it so you shouldnt feel bad for binging emotionally, instead just focus on fixing it, treat it as severe as smoking emotionally or some other bad habit
- fast food/ junk food is litterly made to be even more addicting, our ancestors didn't have as much access as we did to high calorie, high sugar foods so when THEY ate it they got a bunch of endorphins nd other brain shit because it was rare, probably a once every 2 months surprise they got, but now with all the access we have to it its easier to overindulge because it makes us feel happy for the short time we're eating it
- I don't know if this is exactly what she said or if it was actuakly fat instead of carbs but I think its carbs. but if you eat a meal packed with carbs you'll feel fuller faster, but you'll get hungry much quicker after eating it and that hunger will be worse than before
- your hunger hormones, ghrelin goes up and down a lot, like this chart kinda
that is one while fasting, not normal meals but when you go too long without eating, after you eat your first meal of the day your spikes of ghrelin (when it suddenly rises as seen on the chart before going back down) get higher, then when you have your last meal it would have gotten too high to get back down to its neutral state so it slightly lowers it, making you feel more hungry later. Ghrelin spikes also increase your appetite because youre hungry, your hormones are trying to tell you "go!! eat something!"
- protein. eat your protein it fills you up and it helps you to only lose fat and not muscle
-What you eat can affect your mood too, take that one muckbanger nikato or whatever his name was as an example, he was so much happier before he started his muckbangs filled with fast food and overall unhealthy processed oil filled stuff but as time went on his mental health deteriorated resulting in rapid mood changes and bad anger, he is of course a more extreme example because of how large his muckbangs are most people wouldn't have that much but he still shows the effects

and! water!! water weight isn't like you drank too much water yesterday and now you weigh more, its when you don't drink enough water or you had too much sodium yesterday and now you weigh more! (fake weight it does go away) so lack of water more of causes water weight not prevents it
eating low calories foods in large amounts helps you feel more full, let's say I ate a meal of a 0 sugar jello thing (25 calories) corn taco shell (mine are 50 per shell) velveta cheese block (70 for 1/4 of an inch) a rice cake (40) some pickles (0), salad (15) for only 230 calories, meanwhile you can also have a 6 piece McDonald's chicken nugget for 287 calories or just generally small stuff with high calorie counts you want to avoid, they won't make you full
I saw this in another tumblr post but keep some candy you wouldn't usually eat in your pocket all the time, so if you think youre gonna pass out then eat it, don't make it sugar free because that defeats the purpose. I don't like mint so I would use something mint flavored I'd only eat in emergency
sleep increases your metabolism get your rest okay?
doing stuff burns more calories than sitting down all day, it doesn't mean you have to be constantly productive but go brush your teeth, wash your clothes, clean your room these are things that will probably improve your mood and they burn extra calories if you need more convincing

you wake up earlier than the sun, it isn’t skinny enough to wake up earlier than you. Turning on a lamp, the lights cascades over your newfound collarbones, poking out from underneath your skin. It bruises. You daint daintily down the stairs, feeling like a fragile little doll, your skin like its cold porcelain. You step on the scale and almost cry with joy. You reached your ultimate goal weight of 2 pounds.
Moving on to the kitchen, ignoring the food on the fridge that calls to you, you pour yourself a cup of black coffee and pretend that it isn’t disgusting, almost dropping the cup because of how bony your hands have become. Grabbing a pair of jeans from the kitchen cabinet, because you don’t have the energy to go back to your room just yet, (you already knew you wouldn’t have enough energy, so you put them in the cabinet beforehand) you put them on and grin. The size -28 is loose on you.
You stand up and pass out cold on the floor. A few hours later, you wake up again, disappointed that your coffee got cold. Oh well. At least it was the weekend, so you didn’t have anything planned until late.

It's so strange how comforting eating disorders are, I feel less sad whenever I relapse because of how in control I am. My room doesn't get messy, I'm cooking proper (but small) meals, and even though I'm slowly killing myself I literally could never be happier.
