*part two can be found here*
✖ SHE LOOKS SO PERFECT; Muse A believes that the sky’s the limit, with courageous dreams of becoming a traveler exploring the world for all it’s worth. The only thing stopping them is Muse B, who’s perfectly content with growing up in their small town and making an average life of out themselves. Muse B’s parents feel the same way, and have an apparent disliking towards Muse A due to their rebellious nature. It’s been a constant battle between the two, one wanting to stay and the other wanting to go. But when Muse A approaches Muse B, velvet box in hand, promising that running away would be worth it in every form humanly possible, Muse B is completely caught off guard. They’re thrown into a state of confusion, now unaware of what would be best for them. Should they take the leap and run away with Muse A, or ensure their stability by remaining in the same town they’d come to know so well?
✖ DON’T STOP; Muse A has never been to a club before, raised in a household under the most strict parents one could possibly imagine. They’ve never had a boyfriend/girlfriend, don’t have a cellphone, under a strict curfew and expected to spend all their free time studying. And they find their lifestyle completely acceptable, up until one spontaneous Friday night where their friend convinces them to sneak out. It ends up being a thrilling experience, Muse A taking complete advantage of their outing and it soon becomes a regular thing. Muse B has taken note of this, spotting Muse A from across the room the first day and offers the other undeniable attention. Aware of all the others seeking to steal Muse A on the nights that they’re present, Muse B makes it clear that they’ve taken an interest and wants to pursue something further — despite Muse A’s constant rejection.
✖ GOOD GIRLS; Muse A is Muse B’s neighbour and closest friend since childhood, sharing secrets and coming to one another for advice and spending time together to the point that they’re considered inseparable. Muse A is on the honor roll, seemingly devoting all of their time to studying and pleasing their parents while Muse B is more of an average student academically. Muse B has developed quite a bit of a crush on their best friend after the constant tutoring sessions and shared moments, though throughout the years they’ve done their best to conceal it. Muse A on the other hand, wouldn’t give Muse B a second glance in such a romantic manner. Lately they’ve been going through a rebellious phase, sneaking around with their ex-boyfriend who’s in the process of corrupting Muse A. One day Muse B walks in on the two while deciding to pay their friend a random visit, and from then on is spending their time convincing Muse A that they’re driving themselves down the wrong path.
✖ KISS ME KISS ME; Muse A and Muse B have been in a steady relationship for two and a half years, everyone in school believing that one day they’re going to marry and will always be high school sweethearts. The two of them agree, too in love to consider the possibility of something breaking them apart. That is until Muse A’s father is offered a job promotion in a completely different state, planning on packing up the family and splitting the two lovebirds apart. Muse B is in complete denial, unable to bare the thought of losing their soulmate. They spend each and every day trying to convince Muse A to stay, to run with them, to take any other outing than separating the two from one another. Muse A is stressed, feeling the weight of the decision on their shoulders as they contemplate whether they should start over with their family or run away with the love of their life.
✖ 18; Muse A and Muse B have been family friends since birth, Muse A being a few years older than the other. It’s not long before they seek one another romantically, despite the fact that Muse B isn’t legal. It doesn’t work out as well as they hoped, Muse B always stopped at the door of bars and clubs and always having to get picked up from their house by Muse A since they are the only one of the two that can drive. Muse A is quick to catch onto these difficulties, and makes the executive decision to wait until Muse B is legal. They agree at the time, but as the years pass Muse B begins to find themselves interested in people their own age. Fast forward a couple years after Muse B’s 18th birthday when they run into Muse A on the street. Muse A is ecstatic, having waited years for the other to be to keep up with them. Muse B on the other hand has completely moved on, and the roles are reversed as Muse A is forced to chase the person that was once chasing them.
✖ EVERYTHING I DIDN’T SAY; Miscommunication, the sole reason that Muse A and Muse B had been torn apart. From the start, Muse A had never been one for relationships. They didn’t have much experience with it, more accustomed to hooking up and one night stands. Muse B came along and changed all of that though, or at least they’d both thought of it that way. Truthfully, Muse A was still too guarded and hostile to fully open up to someone and realize that they had to change. They were neglectful towards their partner, mistreating them and slowly shattering their heart with all the words never spoken. Muse B had finally had enough, breaking it off in hopes of finding someone to treat them the way they deserved. Truthfully, they wanted nobody but Muse B, but knew that if they didn’t cut their ties now — they never would. Muse A was beat down, drowning in their own thoughts and mistakes and cursing themselves for wronging Muse B in the way that they did. The two spent months apart, Muse B desperately trying to move on while Muse A wrote songs and inputted journal entries each day in which they confessed how much of a wake up call it was to see what they’d lost. What happens when Muse A drunkenly calls up Muse B and floods all the feelings and thoughts they’d concealed for so long over the phone?
✖ BESIDE YOU; The day that Muse A announced they were soon to be deployed to Iraq, Muse B was surprisingly excited for them. After all, their lover had been working up to this point and it was finally paying off for them. Muse A is doubtful however, and it takes loads of convincing from Muse B before they finally decide to take the leap. However, Muse A’s feeling’s towards the entire ordeal soon become mutual the longer they’re away from Muse B. They’re both falling apart on the inside, exchanging phone calls and letters whenever they can in order to subside the pain of being so far apart. Muse A has contemplated coming home numerous times, always stopped by Muse B no matter how difficult it was to stray from the idea. Muse B is soon faced with reoccurring nightmares, the distance and lack of affections not helping their cause. They hide it from Muse A as best as they can, though when Muse A catches onto how exhausted and increasingly concerned their lover is for them — suspicions arise and Muse B finds it more and more difficult to keep their insomnia and nightmares a secret.
✖ END UP HERE; Muse A is rather mundane, attending university and hoping that they can just complete their course and get out for good. They don’t fit in with the rest, arising a handful of insecurities and doubts as to who they’re meant to be in life. Muse B has just transferred from another university, taking an immediate interest in Muse A — who’s in one of their classes. They approach Muse A with confidence, ensuing flirting and bonding with the other immediately. Muse A is completely taken aback, considering themselves to be way out of the other’s league and in complete shock that Muse B is pursuing them. Muse A lives in the constant worry of their partner ditching them for someone better, which Muse B assures is impossible. They chose Muse A for a reason, and wants to prove to them that the pair being together isn’t as unrealistic as Muse A makes it out to be.
✖ LONG WAY HOME; Ever since Muse A and Muse B could remember, their families had brought them up to a lake house every single summer. They spent the season bonding every single year, until Muse A turned eighteen and their parents decided that they’d outgrown the tradition. Muse B lived in a completely different state however, and Muse A knew that this would cut off all their ties to one another. So they were quick to contact Muse A, establishing a plan that the two of them would visit the summer house on their own since their parents no longer had such interests. It worked for a year or two, but this year Muse A couldn’t stand the thought of having to wait another nine months before they could see the person they’d grown to love again. So rather than dropping Muse B off at their house on the way back, they devise a plan to take the “long route” instead, which turns into a massive roadtrip across the country where the two fall in love. All the while they’re making an adventure out of their trip, laughing and talking and exploring the country they knew so little about until this point. Together.
Do not make homes out of people. This will leave you homesick and sad.

”i guess i’ll just call you cooper for now” rolling her hues at his words, the blonde simply followed him towards the exit of the gross bar, ready to inhale the fresh air. her first instinct was to slap his hand from her back, but she decided to just let it be, not wanting to offend him. ”just shut up and get me some ice cream”
"Well, I guess I'll just call you dani for now." He imitates her, rolling his eyes as they are hit with the mid-fall, midnight air as soon as they walk outside, sobering him up the slightest. He notices her nose reddening a bit due to the sudden change in temperature which makes him smile because, well, she is quite cute. "So, Dani, what's something that you've never told anyone, ever." He purses his lips as he looks at her, his hand staying less on her lower back and moving more towards her hip.
was that a smile forming on her face? well that was new, she hardly smiled. ”okay first of all, we’re not friends, second of all, im only joining you for ice cream because you’re paying, and third of all, you are so not gonna get your keys back” stuffing the keys into her pocket, she decided to let all her worries go and just join the poor drunk guy. ”now just tell me your goddamn name and we’ll go”
Woah. "Why aren't we friends?" The boy's voice cracks for a moment, but shrugs once his keys are mentioned, he sways lightly back and forth, smirking to himself. "Oh well, you'll just have to come back to my place with me." His eyes widen once he realizes that she could take it wrong way. "I mean, like, we could, um, play battleship or something d'ya know how to play battleship 'cause it's pretty fun." The boy presses his hand to the small of the girl's back, ushering her towards the exit. "It's Cooper, or Coop, I don't know. Depends on what you want to call me, I guess, Dani."
