I’ve been playing Stardew Valley again, but with the Stardew Valley Expanded mod. It’s been an absolute blast exploring new areas and meeting new people, since I’m very familiar with the game and have played it a lot of times. So today’s sketchbook is my farmer, Joaquin. This is kind of a redraw of a piece I did for Inktober last year, and I can’t say how much happier I am with this version. 

I wish I had a letter from Grandpa right about now, hahaha.

Hey, it might be retro, but it still works underwater!

I’ve never done much work for MerMay, and we’re well into the month now, but here we go. This started as just a doodle inspired by betta fish and their great personalities, but as usual I got a little carried away with the gouache. Can you believe this is the first time I’ve ever made Angelo a merman? Me neither.

Wow, it’s been a minute. Trying to stay home as much as I can... unfortunately I have to report to work, even though it’s a pretty non-essential retail job. So while I’m home in the afternoons, trying to work on some artwork. We’ve been playing Jedi: Fallen Order and I saw this design for one of the ponchos and wanted to draw Angelo wearing it.

from the sketchbook for the week of 8-18 to 8-25. experiments and work for a daydream comic project of mine, in which these two disasters Simza and Angelo end up as unlikely representatives of humankind on a research vessel in a star system where humans are considered pests. and that’s not to leave out angelo’s seven foot tall fuzzy sheep lion boyfriend, who doesn’t have a proper alien name yet

Details of the boys from the HP piece. I’m just so happy with how this turned out. I haven’t tried anything quite so involved in marker for a while now and it was so much fun to do.

"Lumos,” Kaide whispered, and the tip of his wand lit up, casting soft light into the shadows. 

“What exactly are you hoping to see?” Taliesin said apprehensively, lowering his voice, glancing around. 

“I don’t know yet,” Kaide answered, with a crooked smile. 

“Half the fun, innit?” said Angelo in his customary only-half-a-whisper, grinning.

I finally finished this little piece of the Hogwarts AU, featuring clever little Slytherin Kaide Caslinn and two of his school boyfriends--Taliesin Matheson, Ravenclaw prefect, and Angelo Torres, Gryffindor chaser and Puddlemere United fan. What kind of trouble are they getting into? I’m not altogether sure. :)
