I just saw the ending of Good Omens and I'll say it:

I LIKED IT.

I liked it almost as much as I would have loved for them to finally be on Alpha Centauri, I liked it because it is kind and romantic and intimate, I like it because its bittersweet without leaving me with that sense of sadness and deprivation, i like it because it took something big but it gives something that maybe its even more.

yes, when Aziraphale kisses the tips of his fingers and places them on Crowley's lips before he dies, they are experiencing the only moment in their previous lives when they are aware that they really love each other. The only instant is the millions of years in which they know that their love is reciprocated and they are about to die to save humanity. They died knowing that if they were more egoistical this time they could have pick each other and run away yet they got more than this. They got the freedom of being themselves and love each other.

Of course, now they are human and happy and Crowley claims to have had what he always wanted, but the life of the other Crowley was extinguished without knowing if he would see Azi again yet i feel that deep down they still know who they are.
