Please explain to me why the straights are so weird about Sephiroth, like my good bitch he is not your tragically misunderstood daddy dom he is an evil time ghost with no feelings anymore

I think a lot of it is because he is literally narratively designed to be sexy/seductive/alluring, the developers have said that many times throughout history. Because the temptation to destroy everything and give yourself up is what Cloud is fighting throughout the series. So, it's not a bad thing to recognize that Sephiroth is sexy or even be attracted to him. I just think a lot of straight women don't know how to draw the line between thinking Sephiroth is sexy and excusing/redeeming Sephiroth in their minds (hence, the sane!Sephiroth problem).

In reality, the only thing Sephiroth is dominating is the basketball game he's playing with Cloud in his mind.
