At first, I had this thing that basically made Benji into Edgar (from Brother Bear of all things), then I had a brief “Alfonso is Rapunzel confirmed” bit going, then lately started “Fletcher is Ariel confirmed” which soon escalated into “Lily is also Ariel confirmed.”

What’s next? “Jäger is Snow White confirmed”? And no, I don’t believe Jäger is the same as this 14 year old just because they’re both German, are associated with winter in some way, had less than ideal upbringings, and spend a lot of time in the woods with at least one animal companion-

So I wasn’t planning to post a WIP of a scene from the second spin-off but then I was sketching the second part where I (finally) figured out how to draw heads at an angle I’ve struggled with.

After scrolling through google images (like I always do), this is the best I can do with the details from the dialogue as to how he looks in the second spin-off. The left one feels more obvious for 2009 but the other fits the “ridiculous” part more, idk. Thoughts?

As you can see, I got another one of those “movie stills with listener dialogue in the subtitles thingies” in the works. So for episode 2 after Carmen first shows up, I had this idea where she was in a lab coat as a part of the “horticulturalist” bit but I might leave it out.

Update: These things still take much longer than I want them to.

Guess which one of the three wips (minus the background) had line art that took the least amount of time. (Hint: I haven’t started the line art of Carmen)

His glare above the twisting corners of a fanged grin appeared to glow alongside the gleaming jewels around his robe, like they all searched for every subtle movement or change in how she hung onto his story.

“Fascinating,” she commented, not batting an eye. The eerily similar ledge of the exterior hallway didn’t threaten her either, perhaps a clear sign that she had no intention of doing the same.
