I'm gonna try something in Vox Gothic. I'm going to give the Listener a name. Straight up. Not a nickname or a codename or a title. She's just going to be Alice. There's a reason why she's Alice specifically but I don't wanna spoil the reason why until the script is set in stone.

I'll establish right away that you are Alice and you're role-playing someone who is definitely not supposed to be you. I think it'll make it a little easier for the listeners to accept her flaws when it's firmly established that you're navigating the story in someone else's shoes. She begins her story selfish, manipulative, exploitative, shallow, emotionally callous, and a million other bad things that I don't think listeners wouldn't want to see themselves as, but I want a little freedom to make her into her own person and let the listeners live out her arc as if they were her.

I am THIS close to moving the setting of Vox Gothic from Spain to New Mexico simply because I have the perfect soundtrack for a gothic horror adventure set in the American Southwest and I'm just salivating over it and I literally have no idea what I'd use it in.

I've yapped about this before but I love this song and I think it would make a fantastic first kiss song for one of my grimdark spooky ooky gothic romances.

The only thing that's stopping me is the fact that it's associated with Twilight, but I'm starting to think I should just say fuck it and do it. It's been long enough since Twilight came out and honestly they wasted this song by putting it in the credits instead of using it for a sweeping emotional moment in the score of the actual movie. This would make such a good first kiss song.

Booker's first kiss soundtrack for Vox Gothic is already set, but if I wasn't going to use Spiracle I'd be using this.

Doing something experimental with Vox Gothic, in the sense that I'm starting the characters out in an established relationship, but have them not quite be in love at the start of the series. It's a different angle on building a relationship that I really haven't played with before.
