I usually use my A5 planner for home / work / business – much easier for me to keep track of everything. I also have a Personal Planner for Ideas / Projects & Molskine for sketching and testing folds. I tend to decorate less, but keep it colourful. I have a lot of repetitive tasks – so I write those on sticky flags / washi tape with corresponding pen colours to match. I also have my own legend / indexing system on acetate.

I organise my pages into Month / Day / Week / Year – I fold the Meal Planner Under MyDay – The Layout is Flexible! I’ll usually start with writing anything, everything that is on my mind, I usually take out all the tucked pieces of paper / moleskine of things I want to do to be pencilled in my planner – ideas for blog posts, giveaways, ideas of designs, fixes + tweaks, reminders and write them on sticky thin / slim washi tape / sticky page flags. The idea is..I want it to be removable / reusable for repetitive tasks – so that I can begin to sort out into my legend system. I usually sort according to Web / Etsy / Personal Projects / VIP Updates / Shopify & Pretty Box with Colour Coded Descriptions.
The Starter Inserts are Undated – I Added my Own Month, Date, Day & Week Numbers. It’s very easy to print.
I wrote all my tasks on to Slim Washi Tape & Placed them on to MyWeek – I wrote additional tasks for MyDay. I use the Sticky Round Stickers on the Slim MyMonth Calender.

A5 Pretty Planner Inserts – Sunday – DO2P – I need space – and lots of it!
Pens I use: Rotring Tikki Pen for Handwriting. Staedtler for Colour.
Sticky Flags: Filofax Sticky Page Flags with Post It.
Notes On 1 Page Addon: When designing – I’ll use the Isometric Grid or Full Square Grid instead of using Day Pages.
I am ambidextrous – But I prefer left hand for opening and getting to my planner pages – organise my pages into Month / Day / Week / Year– Folding and tucking the pages when not in use. I rarely use Year Planner – But I keep at the back – To track Birthdays / Bills / Holidays. I’ll usually start with writing all I need to do for the month on thin / slim washi tape / sticky flags. I then begin to sort out into my legend system. I usually sort according to Web / Etsy / Personal Projects / VIP Updates / Shopify & Pretty Box with Quick Reference Icons & Colour Coded Descriptions.
I have a lot of repetitive tasks – so I’ll write a lot of those on sticky flags so that I can move them on to my day / week pages. My Idea Page acts as a Dashboard until I move them to their permanent areas. At this point my Idea Page is FULL – I’ll take the time now to save it to Evernote Web Clipper – So I have a copy of all my month’s tasks / craziness backed up and for reference.
I print, then hole punch on the page (on the right of it) It fully opens out to the left – I have a full page of use. The Left side for all Month Quick Reference Icons. The right is Colour Coded Descriptions (using my Idea Page as reference as to what needs to be placed) – I sometimes add more detail in this section, but I prefer to use my weekly pages / day pages for indepth details. I usually fold it towards me, and place my day page ( Left Page) over the folded Month when not in use. My month is very full with no days off – it’s been like this for nearly 3 years!
I find it’s easier for me to keep track – Day Page on the Left (Day on 2 Pages) & Day Page Blank Page on the Right – It gives me additional space to write more without hitting the centre filofax rings ( I absolutely hate when I am writing and it hits the rings it drives me nuts!) Sometimes I would change the Pages to Notes on 1 Page if I want to use it for designing (using Isometric Grid for 3D / 2D Logo / Game Design Work / Sketching New Mock Up / Layouts) I usually keep the New Notes Pages at the back of my Planner and only take a few pages whenever needed to the front. Note Pages Addon can be found in my shop 😉
In general, I always keep my Day + Week Open. Day Pages on the Left & Week Page on the Right (hole punched on the left of the page, it fully folds out to the right) I write in my day numbers and week numbers ( cross reference with month for the week and day numbers) I usually keep repetitive tasks on sticky page flags and keep the unused common repetitive tasks on page flags on my weekly page towards the bottom – it acts as a dashboard – where I can quickly grab it whenever I needed. I don’t like to flip back and forth to get things I need. I place little pink page markers in the upper centre rings to match the day I am working with.
I have all Month / Day / Week aligned to my Legend / Indexing System
When I am finished with my month and moving onto next month, I place all the older Days, Weeks & Month into my Idea Page – The Idea Page is foldable to keep them all inside it – I then place them in my own DIY White Archival Box to store them. The DIY White Archival Box is sorted with Month & Year on Archival Tabs for easy reference.
