I do this now.
I've been working on new pieces lately but not in the usual way. For the past 3 months or so, I've been a part of something called Schoolhaus/A4. It's the result of the work of Dan Ibarra of Aesthetic Apparatus and Zak Sally of La Mano (and the band Low). You can read about it here: READ ABOUT SCHOOLHAUS HERE (and more here) READ ABOUT SOME OF THE STUDENTS HERE (including me) (Pollen's site is all-new too and so far, I'm liking it) I've been a big fan of Dan and Zak's work for a long time and it's been a privilege to get to know and learn from them. I believe in what they're doing and want to see what happens to it in the future. I'll be posting more work from home and Schoolhaus/A4 on the site soon. And look for a big art project from the Schoolhaus/A4 students soon.
This is from my new site: mplsjake.com

Been thinking on how i can use this space more and better. More is the point for now...
Yes, the entire movie. I can’t tell you how many times I watched this one as a kid. I was always so jealous of all the toys the government bought the kid when he was held prisoner for scientific testing. via Rediscover the 80’s
HOLY CRAP ME TOO. One of my favorite movies ever. Love everything about this.
Ok. Enough.
You can download (free) and stream our first album now on Soundcloud to celebrate 10 years of its existence.
Originally self-released March 2003, this is an album made by Ryan Masterson, Nick Sander, Aaron Hagebak, Jacob Swogger and Ryan Rupprecht of Minneapolis, MN.
I like to keep things light here. I'm going to break that for a moment and post this since it's my little corner of the internet.

Lazer Death BSA B33 project with gold leaf lazer skull. Top pic by me, others Shot by KT Fender
This is the motorcycle that inspired my SG illustration. I had seen it on some blog (sans credit of course) a few months ago and it was rattling around my brain. Well now I know who's responsible - it popped up during some other search with some clues to follow - so I wanted to put that up here. Awesome stuff. http://datanoster.tumblr.com/
What ever happened to The Umbrella Sequence? They haven't had any web presence in years, and I can't find any explanation anywhere. I'm a huge fan, but unfortunately only learned of the band after they stopped communicating with the world. Thanks for your time, Steve.
I just noticed I that I never answered this.
The Umbrella Sequence is alive but in a strange way. The band was working on a new record in 2008 and then it got derailed by various life forces, some good, some bad. 4+ years later, we're trying to share more music with the Earth although it's been difficult to get that done. I hope that someday we'll have a record of some kind for you though. When we do, we feel it will be our best work to date. Cheers.
Just wanted to say i love your artwork man!
Thanks very much. It means a lot to me.
My re-worked slay machine (late 90's, early 2000's Gibson, originally black).
I did all the illustrations in acrylic. Upgraded hardware and electronics.
My illustrations inspired by Maxwell Paternoster's work for CFH.

Turned a crappy, beat up, black Gibson SG into a total slay machine. More pics soon.
Found a name tag sticker. Which then became my new phone sticker.
