Paul Pepera was a fantastic artist and one of the founding members of System Era, the company behind Astroneer. I remember being blown away by his detailed 3D artwork, but hadn't realised that he worked on this game of that he had passed away until watching this Noclip documentary: The Untold Story Behind Astroneer's Difficult Development

Airiam
This actress is Sara Mitich.
She played Airiam, the weird android woman on Discovery’s bridge in season 1.
In season two however, Airiam is now played by Hannah Cheesman.
They’ve described the character as a “robot”, then an “augmented alien” and later an “augmented human”. One of the biggest disappointments with season 1 Discovery was how the bridge crew were basically just interesting-looking extras. It’s a trend that has somewhat continued in season 2, but they are definitely giving some of the more prominent faces some more personality.
Anyway, this piece of concept art was cool. I like the way the flesh tone blends into the metal. It’s a shame they lost that detail when they realised it.
Hopefully we get to learn who or what Airiam is exactly at some point. And hopefully when they do focus on her character, they take another pass at the makeup and let the actress shine through a little more. Because right now she reminds me of Kryten.
