But then when he turns the light off, the wheelchair user turns his lamp on. When Mary hits The Pirate with the concrete piece, he yells in pain. Clark consoles The Pirate as though its feelings might be hurt. And when the memory of his wife sees The Pirate, she tries desperately to get away.

They have every one of those things. He just refuses to see their interiority. Like he always did. Like he refused to understand why his wife would kick him out, and keeps refusing, even now that he can see that she was terrified of him. Cause she's always been just furniture to him.

CAPTAIN TROTTER LIVES AU BECAUSE HE'S MY FAVORITE AND HE DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE LIKE THAT

-He doesn't actually fall into the lava, he hits part of the little rock tower thing and it breaks his fall. Breaks a couple bones obviously but he lives.

-And to explain why the Ancients still showed, it was the crews sacrifice. It just decided "Meh, good enough. I'll take it." And then it paused and was like. "Ehehehehe what if I fuck with these mortals by making them think they killed their captain? That'd be funny lol."

-How did Captain Trotter get out of the temple and recover? Sheer, unbridled adrenaline and willpower.

-Captain Trotter feels SO SO SO guilty for turning on Player and Calypso now that the firebrand isn't influencing him. He realized what actually happened and has forgiven both of them. Calypso also feels guilty but he could never stay mad about her pushing him in self defense. In fact he completely understands why and actually praises her for reacting so quick.

-Captain Trotter insists on helping Player as much as possible to make up for attacking them.

-Calypso and Captain Trotter are now permanent allies in Players journey!! :3

TYSM :)! he’s mostly just a “charming friendly neighbor” personality wise, but he’s p quick to violencee.. and most important bit about him is that he’s japanese(internment camps..), but his internalized racism is so strong he’s a white guy larper, thats also the reason why his eyes are messed up!

his weapon is p much either slinging around his bear trap or grabbing the bar/base and shoving it into the reagent and touching the censor

he does also have the ability to lay down bear traps!
