I think a lot of people are saying they got “love bombed” because it’s kind of embarrassing to admit you fell for someone a little too hard and rushed into things too quickly

“Love Bombing” has a very specific meaning. Love Bombing is not “someone was really into me and we moved too fast and had a shitty break up”. It’s quite comfortable to interpret normal behavior as symptoms of an disorder and categorizing normal relationship troubles as manipulative behavior.

Because that way, it can easily be filed away underneath some label without further exploration. But you’re really doing yourself a disservice because you will never be able to honestly analyze your own relationships this way.

Also it takes away words actual victims of abusive relationships need to accurately describe their experiences.
